Saw that yesterday...loved it. I think Tadic/Pelle will carry on delivering, but I also think Lallana will improve (though he's no Tadic ). Poor old Rickie will get very little chance this season...he got what he wanted so can't feel too sorry for him.
I don't understand why Liverpool bought Lambert. Why buy back ups when you can buy players who will challenge to start? Anyway, we got the better of those deals.
I feel genuinely sorry for Lambert. He looks like a striker living out his last days now he's at Liverpool. I can't understand Liverpool's logic in the striker department when you consider the pool of talent around Europe. With regard to Balotelli, I think Liverpool fans are starting to realise what the Milan fans were banging on about last season and why they wanted him out!
maybe they couldn't the lambert signing was very early though so it would have been very defeatist to throw in the towel before the world cup.
Lambert was a bargain as a quality striker to come on for the last 20 min or have on the bench to provide injury cover, but if you don't use him, he will lose form. What can you expect from an unused player thrown on for a few minutes...okay if you are blooding a youngster, but not right for a player at Rickie's stage. As I've said in another context, it's like discovering you have given away a much loved Labrador and finding out his new owners organise dog fights. If you aren't going to treat him right, don't buy him.
Pelle and Tadic. Rickie was adorable...Pelle has that quality as well. Lovely eyes. Adam is nothing special...too scruffy (but that's probably an age thing).
If Lambert was gonna go, I would have thought it would be West Ham, but Liverpool?! He was a cheap option and would probably be a bargain if he actually gets played.
Bertrand assists in a few games>better than Shaw over 2 seasons. Bertrand goals in a few games>better than Shaw over 2 seasons. Goals against is better with Bertrand and ald.........Toby too. I think to see if everyone's statement that Shaw is a better defender than Bertrand are true then we need him to play against Bale or Moses
