So what are people's thoughts on the loan players coming back? For me we sell them free up wages and put any money gained straight back into what is hopefully already a decent transfer kitty. But what if we can't offload them, do we loan them out again so the wages are covered? Or if they tell kit they will give 100% if there agents can't find them a club do we play them? The other issue is if all three stayed Stekelenburg, Ruiz and Mitroglu there wages may put us in danger of breaking FFP. Would you be happy if we started next season with the following team Stekelenburg New right back (Lowton) Burn New centre back ( Mariappa) New left back ( Husband) Hyndman LVC New centre mid ( cairny) McCormack Mitroglu Ruiz Obviously the players in brackets are who I would like but if every player was 100% committed that's a decent team who should be up in the top ten, you would also have a decent bench of Betts, Parker, Tunnicliffe. Bodurov, Smith, Wooodrow, Roberts, Dembele
Would be formidable Cookie. Certainly on the field; off it, may be too much of a strain on the bank balance - wages!
I hear what you say, it's always better to have quality than quantity. If Stekelenberg is injury free then I'd stick with him and see if he can recapture his form. Mitrogluo always reminded me of a bit of a mercenary so I'd ship he out, as I think he will do a sulk if things don't work out. Ruiz we need to replace before we let go, we need to bring in creative players, but the feedback is he wants to leave. I'd try to get some of these players in : Scott Brown of Celtic or Flamini from Arsenal, Stephen Ward from Burnley, Scott Dann and Chung-Young Lee from Palace, Ben Pringle and Craig Morgan from Rotherham, Craig Davies from Bolton, Henri Lansbury from Forest.
