Having started on the bench the last 3 games, should Kanu make a return to the starting line up on Saturday?

With Lawrence returning, and probably taking the place of the suspended Varney on the wing, we need a creative player to sit in the middle behind the strikers. Kanu would be perfect for this, and surely he is now fully rested and ready to start a game.

My team for saturday would be, (knowing that SC will stick with Mokoena)

    -------------------Ashdown------------------

    Mokoena-----Halford-----Pearce-----Ben-Haim

    ---------------Norris-----Mullins--------------

    ---------------------Kanu--------------------

    Lawrence--------Benjani/Kitson--------Huseklepp

Hoping Steve leaves Moko & Lawrence on the bench. And Kitson in the dressing room.

If anyone he should be Bilbo Baggins, Kanu must be about 111 years old! Or is that not what you meant.

Like the formation, I'd leave kanu on the bench, put Lawrence in the hole as he can get make a midfield 3 when we haven't got the ball and put Williams on the right. Give the lad a shot he's looked decent when he's come on. Benjani to start in front of Kitson of course !!

Defo worth starting with Kanu. I don't think he's got the legs to do 90 minutes though

You're probably right, but I do find it depressing we are relying on a 37 (63) year old to create chances. We desperately need to score the first goal this Saturday too.

So much more effective coming off the bench.
