Apparently we are pursuing late deals for: 19 year old striker Myziane Maolida from Lyon (GFFN) 25 year old central defender Christopher Jullien from Toulouse (GOAL.com) 19 year old left back Stanley N'Soki from PSG (SkySports) Apparently the two 19 year olds are both youth level internationals, are very highly regarded and would be coming in as first team squad members, not as development players. Any truth in these and I'll be suspecting Graham Carr of still being on the payroll.
All come out the day after Rafa's Rant? I call bullshit. There's a lot of prior reports linking N'Soki with Unai Emery @ Arsenal, so that ain't happening. We won't buy Jullien as we will have "no room". Maolida is a prospect at best.
I confess to never having seen anything of any of these players so cannot offer an informed opinion. With Maolida though, we wouldn't be signing him as a prospect according to GFFN: please log in to view this image Get French Football News @GFFN Very exciting player, could be an excellent purchase for Newcastle if they are able to negotiate a deal with President @JM_Aulas - youngster would require an inclusion in the 1st team set-up for the deal to happen. 12:24 PM - Aug 2, 2018
I guess we'll just wait and see. I don't know much aside from the stats, he looked young and untried.
Probably sums him up well. Sort of deal MA would probably favour though - a big gamble that could lead to a big payday if he fulfills his potential. Likewise N'Soki - apparently he's tuned down a professional contract offer from PSG due to concerns over gametime so would likely be a similar scenario.
Jullien's ok... but we have loads of centreback options (apparently). Never heard of the others. The first one sounds like a loan move if there is reference to first team playing time?
It's supposedly a permanent transfer being negotiated. Player wants to leave for more first team football and will only join a club willing to offer him that.

Apparently he got 2 assists (starting) for PSG in their French Super Cup win today so he just became worth more... watch that offer fail miserably.
Stanley Nsoki's game by numbers vs. Monaco: 100% take-ons completed 95% pass accuracy 4 chances created 3 tackles won 3 take-ons 2 assists
Well for starters PSG want £10m up front and add ons we've offered £7m with add ons to £11m. He also refused a contract due to worry about starting games there and he started today and was MotM by all accounts so he'll probably get a chance there now. Can't see it personally but who knows. Maybe Bryan or Talifago still on the cards.
If we are offering him first team football what does that spell for Dummett? Are we looking at a first teamer?
