Do you think that if Portsmouth FC beat Southampton FC in the much awaited fixture in December that the rest of the Blue Few that enjoyed the boards when Portsmouth rained above Southampton "if only for only a few years" Will return for a little chit chat and fun ? OR Heaven forbid Southampton Win at Falling Down Park, Will the True Fewer that Few stay around and enjoy some light banter ?
That's the problem Dev. Pompey have far more supporters forums than the deckchairs, so there will always be an imbalance on here. Anyway, it's quality not quantity eh...
A little subjective ffd, is there a 'quality' test for online fans forums? SP, it is 'reign' not rain.
Well there you go Rich. That's exactly what I mean. Poor old Poss,Jdub and the like can barely add up let alone spell. They are the equivilent of the Village Idiot but on a grand scale. 'City Idiot' just hasn't got the same impact...
Ah....just a little tester there Fodder Good to see someone from the other side spotted it- there's hope yet.
So as i thought, just a little bit of dribble from True Blue Few " spelling mistakes Fd " , " failed Wum from Wd ( now that is pathetic ) "True Blue Few" should i pay you a compliment after that pathetic character assassination. Probably something along the lines of " Obviously we are hoping to beat you guys and in truth its our biggest game of the season with all that's going on again and if we do beat you and it brings a few closet fans out, So what all clubs have them. " But maybe those closet fans are sitting tight even on 606 to avoid, should I SAY " To Recognise Southampton FC are back as the Top South Coast Side Again " Denial is not good.
As they say, Possum, 'People in glass houses should not throw stones.' I applaud your efforts, and that of others, to improve the standard of English on this forum. I find any attempt to make us write more eruditely most edifying. I must point out, however, that the short-forming of the words 'it is' requires the use of an apostrophe, thus; it's. Without the apostrophe it reverts to the possessive pronoun which, I feel sure, was not your intention or meaning. Keep up the good effort everyone, I am seeing a definite improvement.
Why don't people use there spell chequers? Their supposed to stop these errors. Of course, people still have to watch they're grammar or they will loose credibility. There you are, no spelling mistakes at all.
I usually don't have much time to spend on here But as in life i have never felt any need to bow to more intellectual people and have put many in there place at work, probably why i like Alan Sugar and those who believe because they are more intellectual makes them better, then that is sad and they have know understanding of people. maybe they should join the Sep Blatter brigade. I love a bit of banter on 606 as well as talking about a Football Club i have followed passionately for 40 odd years and after having to take so much stick from the blue few on the old BBC 606 for the few years in my life time they Proudly sat above us, then giving a little nudge and reminder back now is done in a light hearted fun way. If someone wants to criticise my grammar as a response then that is there choice but i feel sad for them.
Steady on Possum, it was all in jest. And to suggest I'm an intellectual! - well, I've received some insults in my life, including a few from the stripey end of the county, but I've never been called that before!
Poss, do I detect a little hurt in your last post?? Don't take it to heart mate- you're in a different league to some of the numpties that WUM on here.
Haha. Certainly no hurt feelings here chaps haha. It would take more than a few comments on 606 to do that. Did bump my head getting in the car this morning, that hurt.
I hope you'll be giving them plenty of 'does your boyfriend' etc and 'we can see you holding hands' tomorrow. On the other hand, an away victory is sorely needed to calm you lot down a bit.
