    2 assist and 1 goal.

What a player, he causes full-backs nightmares, its always scary for a full-backs when seeing Valencia running at them.

The best Winger in the league. He's unstoppable when on form

He played well, but will always be underrated by other teams. Which is fine with me.

Valencia hugs the touchline and is always there. Provides a perfect out ball for rooney, who despit not scoring, had a good game (nowhere near MOTM imo)

even made jonny evans look scholesc with that crossfield ball <laugh>

Evans is actually a pretty good passer, surprisingly.

When Nani is on form he's better than Valencia IMO, but Valencia is much more consistent, and we don't have to worry about wether or not he'll show up. Nani is either pure class one game, or pure **** the next. Valencia is just great every game.

Which is precisely why he's a better player than Nani.

He has the mix of speed and power. So on his day he is indeed unstoppable. Never seen a winger destroy Ashley Cole like Valencia did in that game last season. Brilliant player.

I was trying to agree with you, but I think failed to actually mention that. Oops.

Valencia is almost an English type of winger, quick, very direct and willing to take on full backs to get to the by line and get a cross in.
Nani is a typical European winger, very skillful and full of tricks.
The main difference between the two is Nani is two footed whereas Valencia is very one footed, and has no left foot to speak of.

Both have had very good games this season, but Nani's form has dropped off and Valencia's form has been getting better and more consistant.

Valencia is the sort of player every team needs. He never fails to break down a defence. His direct running down the wing and powerful crosses are just too much to handle for slower defences, meaning tap ins for the strikers. Rooney, Hernandez and Welbeck must LOVE Valencia. He never fails to find them with a cross and even when he doesnt choose to cross hetcan finish off a move himself.

Always liked him, but this year he's showing everyone why.
