So we already have a squad of 19 players with 3 more offered contracts. Definitely need to clear out another 8 or 9 of these.
“Charlton have offered new contracts to Michael Hector, Aaron Henry and Terell Thomas. Macauley Bonne, Sean Clare, Alex Gilbey, Nathan Harness, Ryan Inniss and Albie Morgan will all leave the club following the expiration of their contracts this summer.”
More of the same then. Just some guff about how difficult it is to release a player. More difficult than it is to achieve nothing in the 3rd tier for the third season in a row. More difficult than watching other teams, far better run, actually compete for a play-off place. Not even an acknowledgment that CAFC has fallen short of where it should be aspiring to be. Never mind by how many country miles. Next season's ST sales will be the lowest in the Club's history since returning to the Valley.
I feel for Albie. Never hid, always available, perfect attitude. Good luck to him in the future. I'll be buying my s/t later this week. Each to their own.
Absolutely, a mid table team says lots of room for improvement=get new/better players in. It will be interesting to see if Holden has an eye for a half decent player.
