Although not absolutely perfect, they were not far short today The only place we have the remotest chance of making is 6th, and the current holders of that position, Reading, lost today so we are a mere 7 points behind (say it fast) with a game in hand. Sadly they lost to another club capable of getting to 6th ahead of us, Blackburn, but it was still the best result for us. Wigan won at Brighton and I'd have much preferred a draw there, but that's the only bad result of the day for us (*). Leicester beat Ipswich which means another team above us lost ground. And its even rosier at the bottom (aka the Land of Millwall). Wins for Charlton, Yeovil and Barnsley (against Millwall) means its very close at the bottom. A slight concern that Doncaster lost at Yeovil, so they are only a couple of points above Millwall, but hopefully that will be ok. Now the question is this: as Charlton are a point behind Millwall, with much better goal difference, and THREE games in hand.............. what chance they will manage at least 1 point from their 3 games? 90%?, 95% ?, 99% ? I am not at all confident we will make the playoffs, but its looking better and better for a good result at the bottom (*) well. it might have been better if we'd beaten Boro of course....................
Forget the playoffs, even with the remote chance we get there we have little chance of winning them, we're just not good enough. The Wallies will go down with Yeovil and Barnsley, maybe They should have kept faith with Steve Lomas, because Hollowhead doesn't have a clue what he's doing.
Hows your takeover going lads ? we might go to league 1 but what league if any do you guys think youll be playing in next season ?
