well done Derby too 2-2 at St Andrews..

I make it 3 good results (Watford, Derby and Donny helping) and 3 not (Lesta, Boro & Reading)

just hope Saints smash TWS to make it 4-3!

sorry guys but this is just getting boring now. every week we're watching results and hoping for teams around us to lose.. whats the point ?

we ourselves have only won ONCE in our last 5 league games. 1 win & 4 draws has seen us drop out of the top 6 with very little hope of getting back. and with some massive games coming up this month I honestly cant see anything changing.

got to be realistic here.. our lack of goals from most of our squad will cost us. Koren, great, Fryatt, great... you can not rely on 2 players to get a team goals.

We have to face facts, we will finish just outside of the play offs. If we had a decent striker we would be easily in there.

He can't hit a barn door most of the time. He has wasted so many chances this season.

Utter rubbish, there isn't a striker in the world that doesn't miss chances,he has career average of 1 in 3 andhas achieved the same stat in the championship for us. He works hard for the team and makes very intelligent runs in addition to his goals.

Things improved rather a lot in the second half, it didn't turn out too badly after all.

As for Matty Fryatt, the only players to have scored more than him this season are Lambert, McCormack, Rodriguez, Henderson, Chopra, Nugent, Phillips, Vaz Te, Sharp, Davies, Emnes and Snodgrass.

A quick look at the league table shows that, with games in hand on a few teams, we are indeed in a pretty decent position.

Subject, of course, to those games in hand translating to points on the board.

    Not a bad day overall.

We're still in it. Our poor goal scoring form is threatening to undermine a push for the top 6 but there's no point giving up on it. Keep believing until it's a mathematic impossibility for us to get there or else what are we playing for? I agree with a prolific front line we'd be right in there but we've gotta keep fighting to get in there.

I completely agree that we don't score enough and sadly I find it hard to disagree with you that we've probably thrown the chance away but I don't think it's down to the number of players scoring. If Fryatt had taken some more of his easy chances earlier on we could be in the top 2 with only those 2 scoring. I don't give a **** where the goals come from as long as they come. The problem is they haven't done enough lately.

You can't say that's utter rubbish. Yesterday we played poorly but for most of this season we've dominated games and cursed our profligacy in front of goal; the chief culprit being Fryatt from one-on-ones.

My gut feeling is that we won't make it, simple because we've had so many chances to establish ourselves and thrown them away, but there is certainly still a chance. If we beat TWS and Ipswich I'll be convinced we're definitely going up. The question is will we win them? IMO we've had all the draws at home we can afford now and we're gonna need a winning run to see us back in the hunt.

I know Fryatt bashing is your favourite weekend pass-time, but do you not see the irony in blaming our lack of goals on our top goal scorer?

He might take two many touches and miss some one-on-ones, but he's the only striker in our squad who gets in goal scoring positions in the first place. Why not switch to slagging Mclean or Stewart for a while, even if it's just for novelty value, their contributions don't come close to Fryatt's.

I wasn't even slagging anyone there. Contrary to what you may think, I don't just have a go at him for the sake of it, I moan about his finishing when it's crap. Yesterday (as I did point out on the match thread) he had one real chance and took it (even if it was very very easy).

All I was doing here was backing up the poster who said we are a decent striker away from promotion. The first paragraph used Fryatt as an example but could just as easily have been Koren. It was about the source of goals not mattering rather than anyone being ****.

As for weekend past-times, a football match now and then would be nice.
