Will Gary Linker, Alan Shearer, or Micah Richards answer a question from one of the greatest female sportswomen of all time?
I expected Mr Lineker to struggle to answer a simple question from one of the greatest female sportswomen of all time, but quitting the BBC was more than I expected.
To be honest I hardly ever watch MotD these days. In fact, I don’t think I’ve seen an episode for about 5 years - unless you count programmes that cover England games. I’m simply not very interested in plastic premiership football. I am only interested in Bristol City and we dont feature currently. Maybe one day………??!!! I’m also massively underwhelmed by ITVs EFL highlights. You don’t get any City coverage you can’t already stream via Sky Sports highlights - and the little pundit reviews that you used to get when Quest covered it have gone.
probably longer for me maybe over 12 -15 years may have watched a few 5 min bits when something spectaculer has happened usually on Iplayer though
I never watch MOTD as I find the Premiership boring I also don’t like the woke and virtue signalling Lineker Good riddance to him and on a non football matter, good riddance to Justin Welby too for his part in the abuse scandal and his political views
Welby is entitled to his political views like we all are. Covering up abuse however is completely unacceptable. He should be prosecuted for abuse of position and concealing a crime.
Angelic if you think Lineker was woke wait to you see who replaces him. I suspect it won't be a white male
Won't be Jenas now. Definitely a ****** woman. If of colour as well then Alex Scott will probably get it.
I honestly don’t give a rats arse who presents a show I never watch. For shows that I DO like watching from time to time, I don’t care about the colour or gender of the pundit, only the professionalism and intelligent conversation and commentating.
As Archbishop of Canterbury’ and head of the COE I’d rather he was like our late Queen and kept his political views strictly to himself
I completely agree R&W, it was a comment on the BBC where they will not necessarily appoint the best candidate. I welcome anyone of any colour or gender to do the job, providing they are the best candidate. As an update when I retired I recruited my replacement. There were over 100 applicants and the standout candidate was a gentleman of Asian decent and I appointed him as my replacement and head of the division
Unfortunately, the public sector, big business and the likes of the BBC and virtually every commercial made these days have been captured by the DEI champions, who would rather appoint someone who ticks all of their boxes re colour, nationality, political views, sexual identity. whether they are physically impaired etc rather than appointing the best qualified and/or experienced candidate
