Ressies 3:2 v Liverpool (and Vuckic Interview)

Basically, we played some lovely football. Our 2nd goal came from a move of genuine quality, 14 passes with 8 of the 10 outfield players being involved - Liverpool could only stand there and watch. It went like this:

Ferguson, Abeid, Ferguson, Inman, Abeid, Sameobi, Folan, Streete, Folan, Inman, Vuckic, Ferguson, Ranger, GOAL!



Richardson's finish for our 3rd was really nice as well. Good move down the left, Ranger held up the ball before picking out Richardson bombing on from midfield. Richardson took a touch to get it out of his feet and curled a right footed effort into the top corner from just outside the box.

Positives:
Vuckic looked class, Ferguson's crossing was great and Ranger's strength and pace caused them real problems.

Negatives:
Inman was playing LM and him and Fergie got tortured a few times down that side. Granted the lad they were up against is meant to be Liverpool's shining star at the minute, but some of their defending was calamitous at times. Also Rob Elliot fills me with absolutely zero confidence.

Finally Vuckic Interview:

Seems like a proper nice lad. At one point in the interview when asked about his hand he said "Oh yeah its good, thanks Rob" (Rob Scanlon doing the interviews) very polite and personable and clearly has the right attitude. Very exciting prospect!

 

could be in with chance for the game against blackburn then.

 

I'd expect him to be...having said that, its gunna be an opportunity for players like Marveuax and Ben Arfa to stake a claim for a first team spot and give lads like Guthrie and Gosling a little run out. Its gunna be tough for the younger lads to break through!

 

Looked a good game, I wish I'd heard about it earlier, would probably have gone.

I hate how Ranger is wasting his talent, he's a better player than Sammy but refuses to behave like a professional.

 

Rob elliot was very poor by any standards, did one decent save but the rest of his decisions were shocking. One goal from pools just rolled in as rob just watch. Fergy i thought he did well, few poor mistakes but over impressed me with his play. Also his cross for ranger was spot on.
