Keith has certainly taken a bit of a battering following yesterday however as I said on another thread, this is absolutely not personal, I do like Keith but this is all about the future of the club.
So in response to the Talk Sport article today, just to be clear, the booing (which I did not join in) was certainly NOT about just one game.
To fully explain, we need to look back at last season which was written off after a few months as we struggled to recover from the early seaon debacle. Performances were patchy, disjointed, leaderless and disorganised other than the now familiar 2 month long spurts just enough to get us clear of relegation.
The general consensus was that lets just get through the season, re-group and Keith can get some new blood in and we go again. A lot of people were expecting a fresh approach, new enthusiasm and most importantly, A PLAN...
The booing yesterday was indeed partly due to the manner of the performance HOWEVER what you need to understand Keith is that it was MOSTLY due to the fact that what we saw was simply a continuation of last year with;-
- NO new ideas,
- NO game plan
- NO new players on view
So, it looks very much like deja vue and a similar season as last year with more clueless football which frankly, THE PAYING PUBLIC WILL NOT PUT UP WITH ANYMORE...
What is the deal with the new players anyway, if some of the comments on here are to be believed, they are simply squad players, unlikely to displace the existing 1st teamers - WTF...??!!!
You buy new players to help improve the squad, if none of the newbies (except NK) were bought to feature, WHAT WAS THE POINT...?
Its all very disappointing and Keith, you've got to ask yourself, if you have to constantly shout at the players to get them to perform, there is something very seriously wrong...
