I respect that referees have a difficult job - and in the case of those in the Premier League they are generally good - but when they get it so wrong you have to question their integrity. This weekend there has been some 'strange' red cards and 'non' red cards. Wes Brown won the ball - given a red - those circumstances were so debatable that the referee should not have come to the conclusion he did. Later in the same game, the Stoke keeper challenged with his foot so high he nearly connected with the strikers' head - got away with it ! Suarez nearly has his leg broken in a really shocking tackle - no red card. Today, Rooney kicks out at a Cardiff defender ( off the ball ) - the referee is actually looking in his direction - yet only gives a yellow card - For Violent conduct !................. and then they want respect ! - just like the linesman yesterday - who somehow could see the ball ( 50 yards away ) go for a corner - but couldn't see all the shirt pulling in front of him.
