GFH, what a useless bunch of clowns, can see why Haigh wanted to get them out, interesting he was the one who allowed McD to say his say in press conferences after GFH blocked McD ... with all this going on its clear how results fell away, added to the pressures of the takeover being botched badly ... GFH are idiots and need to get out of our club completely, the sooner the better, hate the cnuts

Regarding thoughts that GFHs demands on McD were designed to force him out, nope, not the case, as McD would have been able to sue for constructive dismissal and in fact still can if he resigned tomorrow ... I have fought McDs corner because he is a good manager who has been unfortunate enough to have a clueless bunch of moneygrabbing arabs running the club, and as these revelations keep coming out it becomes clear that no manager would be able to succeed in such a fcuked up, soulless environment, no matter how hard he tried

The one constant has been the fact that McD has continued to respect the name Leeds United, he has tried to steer the club through stormy seas without an engine, he hasn't walked away and taken a big payoff when he so easily could have ... a lesser manager would have seen us down with the Wall ... imagine that crook Venables, he would have been gone in a flash and sued us for a few million ... I suspect this leak has come from Haigh or one of the backroom staff, McD has too much class to do this, he could have revealed all quite easily after the sacking fiasco ... so, all I ask is that McD gets the respect he deserves, and the acknowledgement that **** is ****, and that's what the majority of our squad are

As for us 606ers, when we signed Hunt, everyone went ape lauding McD for bringing in such a good player and grafter, and how it would help Ross ... the signing of Murphy was seen as an awesome capture after we beat so many clubs to his signature ... Mowatt being promoted was hailed as a masterstroke ... Smith was denounced as a donkey and one who wouldn't contribute this season ... Kebe was seen as "just the tonic" and a great capture at a critical time, Stewart was a young talent with a bright future ... Zaliukas was a leader and good that we extended his deal ... Wootton was a Liverpool Academy lad who learnt at Scum, and one with a genuine future in the game ... but things happen in football that causes turmoil and hurts a team

McD couldn't shift any of the dross on our books, so wages were being eaten with no productivity coming from it ... Diouf, Green, Varney, Drury, Norris, Tonge, Pugh, White, Ashdown, Peltier, nobody stepping up to buy them, grrrrrr ... Byram's injury meant a late start and we missed him, and when he finally returned he needed time to get up to speed ... Wootton has battled with injury as well, and will come good after a solid preseason ... Murphy has had to carry a big workload along with Mowatt, and when you throw two players with no Championship experience into an arduous campaign and hand them such a huge responsibility, it will catch up with them ... Hunt is only now recovering from injury ... Smith is delivering ... Ross is playing his best ever football ... Kebe and Stewart walked into a fragile dressing room and a 6-0 pounding ON DEBUT, what a way to start, and they haven't recovered

McD will be gone at the end of the season, but he had had a rotten time at Leeds, with owners fcuking up every aspect of the club, and dire circumstances al g with too many unsaleable players adding to the situation .... this is a club in crisis, a crisis not created by the manager but a crisis that affects morale throughout the club ... here's hoping it gets sorted, and respect to McD for not jumping ship and taking the cash ... and here's hoping GFH get bought out completely for a loss, and Haigh gets his money back and leaves

I hope Haigh loses all his money too, cos he was just a chancer

Ross missess too many golden opportunities - always backed him to the hilt, but he should be doing even better the chances he gets

With regards to McD's signings and him being unable to shift the dross left behind, what does it say about his signings when the dross that was left behind gets to play and many of the McD signings don't?

No doubt about it he hasn't had an easy time but he isn't blameless in all this.

Hunt and Stewart I was against from the start, Hunt has never been prolific Smith I had doubts about too.

I read too many times that Ross has had a poor game, he was on fire at the start of the season and yes his goals have kept us up.

Sorry mate any ounce of positivity you find you lay it down to the brilliance of McD and anything bad you say isn't his fault, I am not buying it.

I used to feel sorry for the guy but every time he opens his mouth an excuse comes out. The sooner he has gone the better and one way or another he won't be manager next season which will be a relief to me.

I would have said give him a fairer crack under a new regime but Hunt, Kebe, Stewart are bad decisions, Murphy wasn't worth the fee and we went far too long without any width. Add to that very poor tactics and formations and McD has shown me enough that he isn't what we had hoped he would be.

Put the useless twat on gardening leave, it couldn't be any worse, we might then get one or two decent results like the 5-1 win against Huddersfield.

Fed up with his uninspiring pre match/post match comments, blaming it all on everything apart from his own ineptitude. The latest being late night abusive phone calls. Put it on silent you twat, and then try winning a game or two, then the calls will stop.

Can't wait to see the back of him.

Hmm, he also scores a LOT of goals you wouldn't expect him to, don't really think you can criticise him too much for his finishing this season. Only thing I would say is he shouldn't be penalty taker, always said that.

He has bad games but strikers rely a lot on the rest of the team to perform and we know we can't rely on this team for that, the fact he has somehow managed so many goals is crazy imo. Think he is the best striker in the division to be honest, and not actually for his goalscoring, more his work rate and ability to adapt to the team and wherever he plays in the team.

good post billy, sums up how i felt / have been feeling. sadly in my opinion bmd needs to go now. he has been thrown the worst possible hand but it's just not working. he needs to leave as much for his own sake as ours.

I am not absolving McD of any blame, but I respect the man for at least trying his best ... I agree he should leave and retain his dignity, he is a good man and didn't deserve this shambles ... as for Leeds, I am starting to feel that the best thing is for the club to fold and disappear, and Leeds Athletic to rise up from the West Riding League ... it could be that Leeds fans somehow deserve no club with all the doom and gloom and vileness we see ... Dirty Leeds? If you read some of the personal attacks on here, absolutely!

We all get personal from time to time BS ;) <ok>

Shouldn't every manager try his best, I would, same as the players, they should all give 100% for the club. Sometimes they do and it shows sometimes they do and it isn't good enough, they just have to admit they haven't got what it takes.

Good post Billy, very close to the way I feel. The quality of the available players at Leeds has lowered significantly for the last few years, season by season, making it progressively more & more difficult for a manager to come in & get anything done here.

Very few quibbled with BM's signings at the time, but now that these players have let both him and us down, quite a few 'experts' have come out of the woodwork to denounce BM's previously excellent record of solid signings. Like they're going to convince me that a professional & highly regarded scout can all of a sudden only find crap players. I mean, really?????

We just don't know the whole story, and I hope BM doesn't get dismissed & the assumption everyone makes is that it was his fault.

Ristac called nearly everything from the start.

I was wrong about beemacdee I thought he was the answer, six months ago it was obvious I was wrong. Some of you seem to be taking longer to catch on. Victim of circumstance he might be, not good enough he certainly is.

I genuinely ask what his so called previous findings and signings were and for how much? I hear everyone saying what a good coach he is but I can only find words, I would genuinely love to know who he is responsible for finding and at what cost.

Here is what I have found out about Mr Wonderful:

Managed Slough Town a win rate of 34.40% he took them to 17th, 16th and 8th

Managed Woking Win rate of 44.71% they finished 20th he was sacked.

Managed Reading Win rate of 44.97% they finished the season with 15 wins out of 17 and only finished 5th. With that kind of win rate you could argue why were they so far behind, was it a lucky streak? The following year in the Premier League it took him and Reading 11 matches to record their first win he was sacked while they sat 19th

Leeds - Win rate of 35.41%

I honestly do not see why he is rated, take away a lucky or slightly fortunate winning streak with reading and he hasn't done a single positive thing.

I am not claiming to be an expert, just someone who can spot a manager who isn't capable and has serious weaknesses and who has more fails than success

Erm ... didn't Reading win the title? As for the Prem, everyone knows that the Russian owner refused to invest in the squad and pocketed the Prem riches instead, so Reading had no chance regardless of who was manager ... one thing I do understand is that there are people who simply make up their minds and then doggedly stand by it, refusing to consider circumstances ... go and read what Danny Mills says in the YEP

We will have to agree to disagree, I would love for a new owner to take over and give McD the funds and him get us promoted and you can say "see I told you so". I didn't want him to fail, I didn't want GFH to turn out to be just another KB but sometimes you get a feeling about things.

For me personally I have had a gut feeling about how things have progressed (or not) and there have been small signs all along. Add those to the facts and figures (that don't lie) and performances and actions I have seen so far and nothing but a miracle run of performances will change my mind.

I still ask someone to point out what his "previously excellent record of solid signings" are together with cost. This isn't a question to catch anyone out or discredit them, I genuinely would like to know.

EDIT** Answered my own question http://dwrstv.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/how-good-is-brian-mcdermotts-transfer.html To be honest not bad when it comes to spending little BUT the list of NINE "Somewhere in between/too early to tell" are all big fails (Googled each of them) interestingly many were loans.
