Do you know I was going to put bummers will disagree in the OP. Speaking of classics clash of the titans and Jason and the argonauts on this afty.
Well if you ask 'agree?' surely you are fully aware that not everyone will respond that they do. I think it's ****, like every film he has made.
I can see what Chazz is saying about it being an all time classic but there again I do respect Bummer's point of view. I take it you're not bothered either way, Balkan. In that case I'm stuck in the middle with you.
My favourite scene in the film. For me all time classics are very much personal choice and Tarantino's style doesn't suit all tastes. Personally, I'd rank Goodfellas as the best film I have ever watched but Reservoir Dogs is certainly up there among the best.
Personally wasn't keen on Reservoir Dogs, for me just bit too much talking like The Hateful Eight. I can appreciate some people like the long dialogue though. Much prefer Pulp Fiction, Inglorious and my favourite has to be Django. There is just bit more going on in those films but it still has the spells of dialogue in-between action.
Preferred The Godfather trilogy, even Scarface didn't match up to that, and a British film We Still Kill The Old Way, was quite good.
I don't know which ones I'm 'meant' to like, I really don't. I've seen Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, the Kill Bills, Django Unchanied, Inglorious Basterds and thought they were all turd. Of course someone will now say 'oh you haven't seen Jackie Brown or Hateful Eight and they're the best ones so you can't understand the body of work' etc etc but to that I just say **** off. It's not about a body of work, I've seen the majority and they're turgid. And I know it's not his film but didn't he have something non-acting to do with From Dusk Till Dawn? Special mention to that as one of the very worst films ever made. For me he sums up the Emperor's New Clothes and if said films didn't have his name on nobody would rate them.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion mate. I happen to like all of those films and Pulp Fiction is one of my all time favourites.
