Ray Lews side lost 2-3 to helsea today, going down to a very debatable penalty - more a 'tumble' than a foul tackle by Jack Grimmer and arguably outside the box. Kasami seems to have had a really strong game and scoring a 25 yard cracker. Unfortunately Trotta was the opposite, missing some good chances. Here is the official report - http://www.fulhamfc.com/Club/News/NewsArticles/2012/February/ReservesvChelseaReport.aspx The teams were - CHELSEA RESERVES (4-4-2): Russell, Ashton, Ince, Davey, Deen-Conteh; C. Clifford (Seremba 15), Mellis (Nortey 45), B. Clifford, Boga; Bamford (Kiwomya 76), Lukaku. FULHAM RESERVES (4-4-1-1): Somogyi; Grimmer, Smith, Harris, Burn; Pritchard, Williams, Frei, Na Bangna; Kasami; Trotta. Subs: Smith, Passley, Dalla Valle, Kavanagh, Trialist PS Jol was on the touch line
Sounds like we were all over them but could not convert the many chances we had. Sounds as though you are right 58, Kasami was supposed to be great as was Mesca, aka Tua na Bangna, who played on left wing. Irrespective of the result, isn't great that we are competing with the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal at this level. Makes me pround to be a Fulham fan . COYW
I watched this game online and yes we were all over them for the majority of the game. We had several chances and had Trotta been on form we could have been about 3 up at half time. Second half Chelsea hardly touched the ball until their second goal and we were wasteful again. Kasami scores a screamer and then one of Chelsea's players goes down the other end and takes a dive in the box and the ref gave them a penalty. Very unfortunate to lose but we played very very well for the majority of the game and it looks like we have some very exciting talent coming through. The likes of Frei, Williams, Kasami and Na Bangna. The future is bright for Fulham.
