Had the day off work so popped along to watch the reserves earlier. Firstly the ref was the worst ref I have ever seen in my life and just let Wigan kick lumps and throw us around the pitch all game. Was impressed with Darnel situ, didn't really have a lot to do but did everything well today. Looked comfortable on the ball and played some good ash williams type diagonal balls the the wingers. Youngsters Williams and Edwards on the wings looked quick and caused the full backs problems. Lacked a bit of confidence at times but good prospects. Donnelly looks awful, first touches were bad and he never really looked like he knew what he was doing? Orlandi not sure if he's just not fit enough yet or if he thinks he's too good for the reserves, but he looked very lazy in the first half. Second half he got stuck in a bit more but nothing like he used to be. Jazz was brilliant, lead the team well and was everywhere on the pitch, must have covered some distance on the field today. Think jazz is going to be a big player for us in a few seasons time. Anyone else go to the game? What was your thoughts?
I watched the game against Chelsea Reserves last week, Situ had a good game then as well. Would like to see him given a chance in the first team before the end of the season. Donnelly scored a decent goal in the Chelsea game but the first time I saw him he was like a fish out of water. Why on earth did they kick off at 2pm?
if hoof ball gets goals then whats the problem>>>>.the game is about scoring not playing the ball about the pitch surely.
Yes watch that game as well he did ok ,player for me in that match was Leroy (certainly the 2nd half) totally committed looked like he was trying to prove a point .We scored two good goals & created quite a few chances , pity Casey got carried off as most of threat came from the left side
