Arshavin's got two, Park's got one, Chamakh got taken off with an injury 5-0!! Arshavin will probably bench the Spurs game now.
I thought he did reasonably well, actually. Subbed off just after the second half started, but he did OK. Norwich didn't really get going, though. Personally, I don't think he'll ever be our first choice right back, but he'll do OK in the future. In the same way as Gibbs. ****, Sagna's 29. In a few years we might need to start thinking about his successor.
I don't think Jenkinson was bought as a first choice RB. Sagna is one of the strongest contenders for 1st choice RB in any Premier League team
The fact that we have Arshavin, Benyoun, and Park playing in the reserves shows how WEAK our squad is, these guys are officially first team players, they haven't been out injured etc, yet they have found themselves playing in the reserves, says it all really.
Exactly how? These guys haven't gotten much playing time and Wenger decides to give them playing time. I don't see the problem here
Weren't some of us calling for wenger to put fringe players in the reserves? Now he's done it, people complain? I don't normally agree with wenger, but he's done well here, helps keep them sharp if needed for first team action.
Good idea for Wenger to put them in the reserves. I still don't know why Benny hasn't played much at all for us.....I doubt anyone of them will get on the pitch. Only Arshavin if things get desperate...
We should promote the reserves. With the way the 1st team is playing, maybe give the likes of Benik Afobe, Martin Angha, Oguzhan Ozyakup, Nico Yennaris a run, see how they perfrom. can't be worse than Djourou, Ramsey, Walnut etc.
This hasn't happened before, where first team members, even though playing little games, were thrown into reserve games.
He needs to have Arshavin find some form, and Park to be ready. Benny is odd? Is he going to jettison Walcott and Ramsey shortly?
So what's wrong with something new I'm sure a demotion to reserves SHOULD be the kick in the arse tese guys need to up their game
