Another youngster set to join Rovers this time from Bolton. Forward Tom Eaves is set to join Bristol Rovers on loan. Eaves, who joined Bolton from Oldham in the summer of 2010, is highly-regarded within the corridors of power at the Reebok Stadium. The 20-year-old has yet to make a first-team for Bolton, but he is a regular goalscorer in the reserves. Eaves has agreed a three-month loan deal with the Rovers and is expected to go straight into their squad for this weekend's clash with Exeter. What do you think Gasheads...enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=OD9q_5xMP3M#! COR
Mmmm. Not exactly prolific or experienced (i.e. he hasn't played or scored in a competitive match!) but Bolton signed him when they were a Premiership team, so he must have something about him. He's also a big lad - 6ft 3 -so can give us an extra dimension up front that we don't currently have. We've got him 'til Christmas so welcome Tom - hope we can help you to get your career off the ground and you can help us get our season off the ground. However, we still need an older striker to compliment Clarkson, who is the only forward in the club with any experience.
Agree with you comments BB a proven striker is also required to assist both Clarkson and Eaves assume that this will take longer as we will want them for the rest of the season with a possible sign on clause. Also they will probably cost more!! I should have mentioned it was on Skysports normally they are well behind in posting new signings for the leagues. COR
Couple of video's on the official forum which show his potential. Looks decent and could do well here. Fingers crossed
Maybe he will be similar to Nicholson apart from the fact he was a Gashead Quick off the back of the defenders remeber his first game excelent. COR
As CG said a couple of links to see Eves in action http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=OD9q_5xMP3M#! Enjoy COR
