Why should Hull's so called fans be allowed to post threads etc on our forum..but when we try to post relevant threads about their pathetic club on their forum they deleted them? pathetic... they are so childish ..pitiful.. , http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...it-Hull-if-Tigers-name-change-is-not-accepted
Don't know but how can you take a club seriously when the owner wants to change the club's name and won't listen to anybody else's matter of opinion. Anyway glad they went up in comparison to Watford last year
This was a pretty obvious move imo from him, its his money that got them to the premier league, so if the name isn't changed, he'll take his ball full of cash and go home. Its not like its going to ruin Hull, they are in the prem, if he walks, there will be some other crazy expensive person who would want to own a premier league club.
Is becoming more of a mardy little girl as he get older - is threatening to throw his toys out of the pram in the belief that people will give a **** but all that will happen (and is happening http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/25741182) is that they will call his bluff and tell him to **** off.
He could have been more concilliatory IMHO - recognising that there is at least a certain arrogance in riding roughshod over a history spanning more than 100 years and a community's emotional attachment to a name in existence from birth ... he could perhaps, have considered meeting them half-way ... perhaps the fans would have been more willing to accept it if he too was willing to undertake a name change of equal impact and rammification ... might I humbly suggest he changes his own name by deed poll to "Tiggy-Tiggy-Woo-Woo Ramallama-Ego-Dong" .... I think that would convince most Hull fans that he is at least willing to share some of their pain ...
if they wont let me post on their board im going to stop eating their fish within 24 hours----you see if i dont
whats in a name? if our owners wanted to call us the foxes, i wouldn't worry. i would still support our team. this is an ever increasingly commercial game. if the owner feels that in the best interest of is investment he needs a name that is more marketable in the global world of premier league football then fine. i realize all the hull fans are more commercially aware than their chairman who hasn't a clue on running a business or making money. (wum alert!) after all what sort plonker would invest in hull a club wit no history and no future? perhaps the sort who see an opportunity or is philanthropic and wants to build a solid base for the future. do we support the name or the club?
I agree there's no closed threads, but I doubt we'd have closed it. It would have either been deleted or merged into one of the other threads. I've been through all the threads from the last week earlier on today (well yesterday now) and didn't see any deleted threads by IUTBJF so I suspect it's either been merged into the main thread about Allam's threat, or into the name change sticky. EDIT: Looking at his recent posts, this appears to be a thread starter but it's the 111th post on the thread, so I'd say the merging theory is accurate. http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...one-it-again?p=5913274&viewfull=1#post5913274
No problem. I know it was a few days ago it happened, but it wasn't exactly the most difficult to explain. For those that haven't seen our board recently, we've adopted an approach with the name change debate where we're going to minimise the number of threads it's on. So unless there's a significant development or statement everything gets merged into the main thread. If there is a significant development or statement then it's allowed 1 thread regardless of who starts it.
I love the name Tiggy woo lol. Brilliant stuff We are not against him, we are against the name change. The thing that upsets me the most as a Hull City fan is talking about our fans as if we are **** on his shoes. This is were football is different to any other business. If Mr Tesco (other shops are available) starting slagging off customers then you would go to other shops. With football it is your club and unless you are a plastic you don't change your club. Needless to say I relinquished my pass this season due to a reduction so the old duffer has not affected me like most.
Not really Wizard. He has done this before. He threatened to move Hull City to Melton village and build a stadium if the Hull City council would not give him council owned KC stadium. The guy is okay really he has just lost the plot on this. Yesterday, it was reported he gave £1m to bring cancer treatment facilties to the Hull area. He gave £1m to Hull KR to help save them from admin. He does lots of good things for hull + the area. He could be right about our name change...but it is the way he has gone about it that grates on the City fans (well most of them anyway)
