A controversial player that divides opinion. To many, he's a flawed genius of a player that is under-appreciated and to many others he's not a very good player and never lived up to potential. Won't say which side of the fence I'm on but Mikel of 11/12 and early 12/13 could easily do a job for us and was one if our best during that period of time but I'd a reasonable offer came in I'd be inclined to sell if we could get someone else like Modric in. Oscar and/or Ramires could fill that role very well and it wouldn't be the end of the world. Would also increase Chalobah's chances of being involved in the first team this season or next.
Hmm. Thought he really improved in the last year or two. Never thought I would say it but he sort of grew on me.
I'm relaxed about Obi's departure! He's had his moments, but we need to think about a PL champions squad and he doesn't pass the test these days!
While I have always been one of Obi's defenders, if someone came for him, I wouldn't complain. A good, useful, but expendable player.
watched Obi wan and Pizarro during an open training day under Jose. The pair of them were amazingly deft of touch and clearly very skillful. I also remember Cudicini being much better than Cech that day.
could never really decide on Obi used to have a good spell then a poor one would not be heartbroken if he left
We have been heavily linked with De Rossi, I personally think that is an upgrade, and the fee was apparently 10m for De Rossi, that is a steal
Mikel is best holding midfield we have in the team by a country mile. Too many Champ Manager players on here. His job is to protect the defence and he does it well, will be gutted if we sold him for some overpriced "Name"
Amazed by some of the replies on here. Always thought I was in the minority, Mikel is a talent IMO, but if cash has to be raised and he can't replicate his form under RDM I wouldn't be opposed to selling.
Sell him this guys been too average for too long one or two good performances here and there dont make up for years of very average performances .
Nearly spat out my coke all over the laptop. That's taking poetic licence way too far He's an average player easily replaceable and I suspect you'll need much better if you're going to win the league.
2nd behind Messi in U-19 WC. Mikel was an integral part of Mourinho, Grant, Ancelotti, Hiddink and Di Matteo's sides. They can't ALL be wrong It's your opinion though and there are many Chelsea fans that would agree with you, but DM is a position where you don't get much (or any) credit anyway.
