Obviously he was heavily linked with us in January. Apparently there are strong rumours about that we've agreed personal terms with him. I just wanted to get your opinions that should this prove true will it be a bad sign or good sign regarding the Rvp saga. Edit: not saying its true guys but should it prove true what do you make of it?
Only plae I can find it is on Twitter http://twitter.com/#!/search/matias suarez Apparantely he only needs a work permit now, but people Twitter bullshit often so I would wait until someone reliable has to say anything about it.
Yep - twitter is not reliable. I did read however that he signed a pre contract in January of this year .. here http://www.givemefootball.com/premier-league/gunners-complete-suarez-deal- Again though not the most reliable of sources. Also dont get too excited - he's a forward / winger (another one!) who is not that prolific and plays for Anderlecht. HArdly tearing up trees. Just another 23 year old with potential.
http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=ma....,cf.osb&fp=beab13afb5b81c34&biw=1024&bih=672 A Guy on twitter by the name of OilPriceBates (who is apparently reliable) And an Argentinian journalist by the name of Javier Perez (who I have no idea about) Not saying its true just saying should it be true what do you make of it
Javier Perez is the south american journo who's staked his whole reputation on us signing Lewis Holtby from Schalke, he was convinved that Suarez and Holtby were done deals ages ago.
He may have been right on pods timing of signing but so was Jamie sanderson of young guns and he did get kennys sacking right BUT he maintained jan vetonghen was 'almost done' and has now to an extent attempted to cover it up. He's got some right but he's not perfect.
if we get this guy i think we will be playing him more on the wing than the forward position, with Arshavin most likely going, as well as Benayoun, we did need one more attacking midfielder who could play on the wing, but having said that, don't really expect big things from this guy.
i think Arshavin is the answer to our problems. Yes, he's a lazy bleep, but as a CAM he is very good, and is a useful creative force, look at him play for Russia, and his Zenit performances, as a CAM he's good.
No way Jose, it's time to move on and get rid of the deadwood, Arshavin is not going to be the player that helps us onto glory and trophies, sorry, but he needs to be shipped out.
We never played him in his proper position, we should give him a chance first, then decide whether to cut our losses.
Why God, why? Honestly don't know why we don't field 11 of the little feckers at once. We'll end up like Barca with 8 forwards and a couple of midfielders playing in defence.
I thought ending up like barca was the aim... isn't that why barca occasionally help themselves to our players? We have become barcas B team. The only thing that's saving us this nickname is the amount of ex-arsenal at city!
He plays through the middle too. You might be encouraged by the fact that he is known for his shooting (goals not guns)!
It wouldn't work over here. I honestly believe that barca would lose to stoke. They hate physical teams.
