When someone ignores the rules, can you please report them to one of us on here, rather than using the report function.

The supermods can't keep track of the different rules on different boards and as a consequence don't know if it breached rules or not.

    Ta.

No politics rule is what has made this such a good board.

You get the feeling a few posters are desperate to show how knowledgeable they are and how they cant wait to shout down and sneer at others views.

Go on a politics forum or go on general chat.

    We dont want it here.

They can derail a thread- so what? Threads get derailed on a daily basis.

    Why not a Politics sticky?

Plenty of stuff re COC2017, SMC, Hull City Centre Public Realm Strategy etc has a political component.

    Good post.

Snitching to the beak about a fellow poster is appalling form, proper ****ish in fact.

Perhaps I'm being whoooooooooshed here, but what harmoniousness?
Constantly amazes me on here the contrariness and the mindless confrontational types.

The main reason we have the no politics, no religion rule is that it's what board users decide each time we ask the question.

A part of the reasons behind that is that, with a few notable exceptions, the debate soon moves from facts and issues to being more personalised, and this spills into into other threads.

The CoC etc. stuff is more measures carried out by politicians, than a political debate.

I don't mind a political debate, but I don't think this is the place for it.

CI found a similar problem, and opened a second board. On here, we have the Premier League area, which is currently ****, but it's there to be improved.

The 'reporting' of political posts is utterly pathetic - says a lot aboout the person/people who did that..

I can understand why people don't want to discuss politics on this forum and I can respect that.

But I would like to think that others can understand why some would like to discuss it - hence why the compromise of the one politics thread has been continually suggested.

The sad thing is we have people talking on behalf of others and the rules of the board seem to serve the moderators' will and some vocal members. When we last had a poll, circa 40 voted against, circa 30 voted for and the VAST majority didn't care either way. Yet the rules just seem to suit the desires of the vocal few.

I get the no politics/religion rule and, if that's what the majority want then thats what we go with ..... what I don't get is how some **** has to go snitching to a supermod (wtf) and not approach our own mods? Now't as queer as City fans, n that's a FACT!
