Isn't part of FFP based on the revenue you bring in. Is it me or is the obvious always been staring us in the face? Why don't we bring in a bunch of cash by renaming the SOL? Surely for one of the most profile sports league in the world we can't get Ken's Newsagents to sponsor the ground? Got to be companies out there looking for a deal? What's our marketing company doing? I would rather our team have a sh*t load of money with a name like the Tampax Stadium than do what we are doing now. Come to think of it....we only play once a month in anycase....
What's our marketing company doing? ----------------------------- Do we have such a thing? Totally agree. Our non-operational revenue is a complete joke. No gigs at the stadium this year, so we've gone backwards
Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here Arena? Needs a little work on it, it doesn't really roll off the tongue. The Ahayweh Arena?
If they want to generate income why don't they sell tickets for each half of the game then when the first lot have buggered off by half time they can double their income by reselling. Just a thought like
It's not part of FFP revenue? Surely if we're to sell the naming rights we'd want it to count towards FFP revenues as we need more revenue showing on our accounts. Need to find revenue that helps us on paper not off. This wouldn't be a priority for me.
The marketing side was fairly useless. The gigs made very little for the club hence Gary Hutchinson was encouraged to seek alternative employment as that seemed to be pretty much all he did. They weren`t big money spinners. The bands, promoters and merchandising made all the dosh. Hopefully this is something else our Mr Bain is looking at as we certainly do need extra income from somewhere.
I wonder -The Hays Arena - a very successful feel-good local business - could even offer low cost flights for season ticket holders or regular attenders ???
Thought it was strange. Surely any revenue will count. Personally I'd be developing more of the land we own and turning it into profit.
I can imagine Hilton regretting building that hotel right next door. Sunderland should be sponsored by Saniflo. We need the ****e flushing away.
Well they have now bought the Aldi garage at the side so expect more development soon. Not much extra revenue but this village will happen sooner or later.
But the gigs were only profitable because of government supplements which has since been withdrawn. We're bang right to stop the gigs as it's become unworkable. We're looking into home friendlies instead which will actually make us money where as another gig will just hemorrhage money so I think we're getting it spot on in that aspect. This stupid account, even when it's running a bit faster I get a message saying I have to wait 5 minutes between posts. Wtf is that all about? I'd ask but the time it takes to send a new message it's not worth the bother as nowt will happen anyway. I knew **** all would be done.
Yeah and the new community development being built alongside the Hilton could hopefully generate some income - but we need way more investment
