As both players are coming from QPR on loan. I wonder if Fulham will take as long as we do to sign a player.
If they have any trouble with other clubs "moving the goalposts" or "getting him over the line".

No doubt Remy is the better player. Therefor harder to sign.

We also have a 1 day head start.

Anything is possible when Redknapp is involved.

Maybe Fulham will have bigger envelopes!!

Nice reverse psychology Matt. Now if you can just do the same with Gomis and Ince.......................

Good signing lads, was just speaking about this on our board but dont you think its very smart business by QPR?

Obviously they are planning on returning to the PL at their first attempt and by off loading these 2 they are saving roughly £5/6 on wages and also getting a loan fee however they have the option to re-call them after their loans and have 2 new signings for the new season.

I was wondering if you guys are aware of any purchase clause in the deal? I would doubt QPR would have agreed to one however I could see one being there if QPR dont gain promotion.

Worst case for you is he scores 15 goals and QPR get him back next season, its frustrating like as we found out with Evans, Welbeck & Rose.

Rumours of a right to buy for 6.5m. Hopefully there is.

I cant see it mate, if QPR get promoted back up then surely they will want to have the chance to re-call a quality PL player. If you think about its very smart by QPR.

As I said I think if there is a £6.5M buy out clause it would only apply if QPR dont get promoted.

Difficult to say. We were holding all the cards despite needing strikers. They needed him off the wage bill which is a far bigger pressure. They had an unhappy player who wanted top level football in World Cup year. I suspect there will be some sort of arrangement in place. I'd be very surprised to see him in a QPR shirt ever again.

MA will be losing his touch if he hasn't got all angles covered.

I'm not sure lads, QPR have him off the wage bill this season but promotion brings tens of millions into the club and I'm sure they wouldnt bat an eye lid at his wages if they are promoted next season.

I think QPR held all the cards with a quality striker like that, plenty clubs were after him by the sounds of it and theres no reason that he has left on bad terms just wanting to get in the spot light for the World Cup year, anyways just hope QPR dont get promoted! haha

A deal that involves Arry & your JFK has to be dodgey somewhere dont you think? haha

There appears to be a sale clause but we can only speculate on the terms. Maybe it's conditional on QPR not being promoted, maybe not.

If the worst case is that we have a cracking player for our weakest position for one season only and at very modest cost, there are worse disasters.

He's avery good player and will score lots for you if you get the ball to him.

You might have him for a season, you might lose him temporarily for a court case, or he might be locked up. Who knows.

Rumoured to be on £80k a week with us, and I understand your wage cap is £40k. Also rumoured that you paid a £2m loan fee, which we may have given straight back to him to cover the wages gap. So in all could be costing you*£4m for a season.

Very much doubt he will join you permanently - if he has a good season he will be in demand at clubs who would pay him more than you. If he has a bad season or is banged up you won't want him.

Enjoy though, the goal he scored against Wigan at the end of last season will live with me for a very long time.

Taarabt is potentially a far, far better player, but sadly may never deliver. He's an idiot as well and needs the right manager. Reckon Sir Bobby might have done it.
