I wonder if they'll take Monk as manager? That's what the papers were saying at the weekend. Garde should have walked when the transfer window shut. Really feel for him the way he's been treated at Villa.
Sad for him really as he looks a good bloke. Villa have been dreadful even before he joined the club and 147 days is not that long really to turn things around when they were in such a mess, I thought villa were better than us at times when they played us even though they were down. If he was given the right backing then i think he would have taken the Championship by storm and come straight back up.......Well that's the end of him and now i would love to see monk get the job to see what he can do as i think he could do very well with some financial backing....
Inevitable, but it may work for us, I am hoping whoever goes in at Villa, If Pearson may get a bit of a response from the players and as we have our 6 points off them, hope they can start picking up some points off teams around us. Just had a look they only play Bournemouth and Newcastle at home, that would be a useful win for us.
We may have written them off, but you can guarantee there will be people at Villa still planning an escape route. A win over Newcastle will be lovely thank you very much
I think most here are harsh on Gaudolin. He's come in and done his job, OK may not be pretty but results we needed not pretty football. I think he'll let the leash go a bit now we're more than likely safe and then we may see what he's capable of doing. He's highly respected in Italy and rightly so his achievements are pretty impressive.
Yes i agree and that will be typical of Jenkins and the board. We look to have been lucky this season ...We wont be so lucky next time if the walking dead is given another season......Brendan i would like but there are 4 clubs that are all in with a good chance of getting him. If he decides to go with the money and length of contract then he wont return here i feel...
I don't think he knows how to let the leash go, It is 100% negative boring ****e, I will give you if we stay up he has done what has been asked, but Curtis was the one who got most of the important results and his contribution shouldn't be forgotten probably more so than Guidolin. I don't think he will be anywhere near our club next year. Another season of that rubbish will finally kill our club and we will be on the slippery slope to relegation.
I don't just give credit to Guido it's a team effort from both Curtis and Guido. Although, a poor game today and doubt will start to kick in! I want to see a fearless preference today and an indication of what to expect next season if Guido is in charge.
