Villa's new manager, does anyone know anything about him? I vaguely remember him as a player at Arsenal but I don't have the foggiest what he's like as a manager. All I can say is that on the face of it he doesn't look like a sensible appointment for a team in last place. Inexperienced in general and never managed in the Premier League.
He's good with young players, he brought through Alexander Lacazette at Lyon and that lad is a ****ing weapon. Seemed to lose it later on at Lyon, had a few meltdowns and cited personal reasons for wanting a year out... Seems the type that doesn't have that fight in him when things aren't going to plan. Hard to tell how good he is because of the emergence of PSG as a force under the Qataris. I'd say slightly above average coach with weak bollocks.
He's got a job on with Villa mind. That's 7 defeats in a row after tonight. They're well in the ****, just like us and the toon.
Aye they're in that horrible state where no matter who they're playing you look at them and think "you're going to lose", a feeling I'm all too familiar with. It's not an educated opinion but I don't think he was a good decision by Villa.
Aye they've got Man City next as well. That could be a nasty one. I don't think he'll work either. And I'm basing that on no research whatsoever - just gut feeling.
I think this season will be an all to familiar one where we hope there are 3 teams ****ter than we are as a hope of staying up.
Doesn't have the fight in him when things aren't going to plan. Sounds like he's tailor made for the mags.
Bit of a trophy light "Felix Megath" type panic hire for me. If you're in the **** once the season has started then get Big Sam or Tony Pulis. The Prem is an unforgiving place, especially when you have fat gypo Kieran Richardson and eight touch (two from the kick off) Abangawhore in your ****house squad.....
