This weekend in Southampton we remember the sailing of the Titanic and you may recall a few weeks ago CBK posted a list of names of all Southampton people who were lost in the disaster.

Please don't regard this as an advertisement it is just an opportunity to enrich your day on Saturday and learn a little history about the Titanic as told by members of Southampton Tourist Guides Association who are sponsored by the Mayor of Southampton.

If you are up early enough this Saturday why not take in a Titanic Walk starting from Holyrood Church in the High Street starting at 10.30 in the morning and see all the sites around the city associated with the Titanic and the lives of the passengers and crew including some good pubs.

It last about an hour and a half and ends close to St. Mary's.

The city lost over 500 people who were the majority of the crew of the ship and many of them were Saints fans.

The walks are also available on Friday 11th April and Sunday 13th April at the same time so if you're staying over why not take in a walk on Sunday morning before you set off home.

The walks cost £4 and is worth every penny. If you have family with you who aren't going to the game there are also walks at 12.30 and 2.30 all starting from Holyrood Church.

To Book a Place: Please Call: 023 8057 1858 during office hours (09:00 to 17:00)

The Friends of Southampton Old Cemetery are also doing a series of Titanic walks and details can be found here:

41N 50W is a new play based on the 1912 TITANIC US Senate Hearings. There are a series of performances at the Sea city Museum and details can be found here:

The Titanic sinking had a devastating impact on the lives of many Southampton families.
