    Just thinking of my first time and nothing else going on time to remember back,

    City v Forest for me 1989. Lost 1-0 I remembered it rained, actually potential downpours a bit closer, was in the wedlock and my first taste of a proper game, may have lost but hooked ever since, still you dont follow city for all glory,

    I can't remember my first game, first memory was Joe Royles debut, but that wasn't my first game.

    How can you not remember stuff like that?

    <cheers>

    My first game is a source of irritation as I swear we got beat 5-2 by Derby but I have been unable to unearth a score like that at around that time (late 70's)

    Loved every minute of it though.

    I can remember it all kicking off in the area by the east end turnstiles against both Villa and West Ham. I was only a kid then. (against Villa)

    Strangely, I didn't get a taste for cider until the last few years, But Lager has much the same effect!

    Thatchers for me now though (or Ashton Press) mmmmm!!

    I've grown more fond of the Guinness these days, love the stuff now, but I must always ensure that wherever I go if I haven't logged off to carry wetwipes around. A veritable bidet in a bag.

    Cider on matchdays of course you know the flavour! Can't handle the rough stuff anymore, makes me evil or it makes me look like I've got motor neurone disease.

    My first game, 2-3 home defeat against Rotherham United, way back in the 1959-60 season, I was ten going in eleven & can't remember a thing about it, I do know though, that City got relegated to Division Three, bad first season for me!!.

    first game was at eastville, i seem to think it was terry cooper's last game as a player he came on as a sub did a forward roll and the ref blew full time. Mid 70's i think. I remember the forest game well i'd been to every game in that cup run and walshy pulled back that left peg on the edge of the area i was mis celebration as the ball pinged against the post! The whole ground was full if inflatables i had a 6 foot croc forest had a massive gorilla! Amazing day un lucky result ended up getting nicked as too much cider made me think i could fight the whole forest away support on my own whilst thay had a police escort out of the ground!!!! Prat!
