No matter how Wenger's performing now, every Gooner has (should have) massive respect for the man.

In his heyday he was no doubt a genius. He may very well still be one, but he hasn't shown it that much recently, bar the Cazorla purchase for such a cheap price.

Like all geniuses, they all have a flaw.

I remember in 07/08 when we desperately needed a left winger (Rosicky was out injured), Wenger used to frustrate the hell out of all of us by playing Diaby on the left wing.
Diaby is/was a good player. But he is/was way too slow, and kept passing the ball back from whence it came. Our whole left side was dead. <laugh> Nothing happened.
All the carnage came from the right with Hleb and Eboue on the flanks.

The media used to hound him with questions but he continued playing this tactic. Oh the anger that season. <laugh>

Was/is there any particular things that Wenger has done in the past that has annoyed in great length?

I'm led to believe he had an affair. That was annoying.

I've tried to explain this to you, but you carry on believing that Wenger is trying to kill you.

I'm annoyed that he's so diplomatic with his detractors.
I like to see him get all Bruce Lee on them once in a while.

There was a season where Fabregas kept getting played out wide when it never seemed to work.

I'd love to have him back playing out wide now though..

    - His reluctance to spend.
    - His unwavering reliance in injury prone players.
    - The fact we can pick his team to about 90% accuracy most weeks.
    - The fact he seems to make the same substitutions regardless of the result or the opponent.

But then most people have some character traits that annoy the **** out of me. Wenger's no different. He's infuriating but I still like him.

Each one of those traits could be seen as a positive by different people. Perhaps that's why Wenger inspires strong opinions both ways.

Playing Eduardo on the left of a front three used to annoy me. He was clearly not suited to that role and Wenger should have been more flexible with his system. When he had the likes of Vela,Eduardo and Bendtner in the reserves, he could have easily played a 4-4-2 in the cup competitions to properly utilise those players.

These days you don't hear too many people advocating a 4-4-2, I cant see it going back to be honest, you could say Barcelona plays a 4-6-0 almost.
