The curse of November. Tough encounter tomorrow as fourth play fifth on the fifth.Could this turn out to be a real Championship weekend sparkler or a nil nil damp squib. Palace come to the CCS in confident mood having one of their best starts to the season in many years and looking for their fouth straight away league win on the trot.Championship Player Of The Month defender Nathan Clyne has ensured that the Eagles have not conceded a goal in the past six games. City have not lost at home to Palace since 2004 and this seasons new blood are looking confident enough to bury the November hoodoo that has held back the club for the past few years. How apt it would be on November 5th to see the Gunnarsson power plot blow apart the London based clubs good away run.
Ok then! I'll try something else. How many do you think Liverpool will score on Saturday? Could they surpass their 8-0 FA Cup third-round win at Anfield in 1990?
Bollucks to Liverpool and whoever they're playing - let's stick to CCFC. Ambrose always worries me. He's got the ability to win a game for them with a bit of class at any time. I liked him when he was with Charlton and thought he'd be a decent fit for us when they got into financial trouble and tried to offload him a couple of years back. Alas, DJ didn't seem to think the same way - or perhaps he didn't want to come. Having said that, he won't come up against a much better containing midfield than our Cowie/Gunnar/Kiss combo. I'll take them to keep him quiet and dominate this one. They can load the barrels of Gunnarpowder with Whitts supplying the matches. That'll leave Miller and/or Mason to go off like a rocket............
Cheers Spark! I was trying to appeal to those silent watchers who shouted the loudest about our lack of football threads and plethora of love hate relationship threads with the jacobeans. Been on some of the Palace forums and it looks as if they intend coming down in numbers.Should be a tidy atmosphere.
I noted a few of those comments Bobby, and had a bit of sympathy with them to be honest. The point is, if you want to talk about football on here, ignore all the **** that gets thrown about, and bloody talk about it instead of whinging! Once again, having said that, I like a bit of **** sometimes (don't take that the wrong way!! )
**** and football. It's the lifeblood of any good forum. Why anyone would want one without the other puzzles me. Nine nil I reckon.
I know this Guy who thinks that there will be fireworks in Cardiff tomorrow but I think he can fawke off.
Rhondda! More ****: Round up him and any coconspiritors up and we'll lock them in the tower of Cardiff Castle. More football: Two survivors of the 2004 game in Huds and Earnie.Three if you count their manager Freedman.
23,648 - give or take a few No idea what Palace's away following is like but they should bring a fair number
at least MM hasn't won manager of the month which is what happened to DJ this time last year if I remember rightly.
cardiff win as u better make the top 6, as for us, i predict 1-2 loss depending on the day, worst case 1-6, best case 1-1, hope u beat Palace
We are getting a rightly earned reputation as a hard team to beat, so all we need is to score to win...............mind you that is all we ever need
Didn't work against Peterborough Proph, and we shipped another 3 against Barnsley, but I know what you mean. Don't want to have to rely on the "whatever you score, we'll score more" syndrome that existed at the start of last season - that's a recipe for coming unstuck. Clean sheets are the answer. It may not be pretty but building from the back is the best way. Mind you, if we score 3 or 4 every game, I'll take the chance......
Hope it's over 23K but understand that with many people's finances getting tight and Christmas around the corner. Anything over 20k.
I know it shouldn't really matter if you support a team through thick and thin, but after the win at Derby, 23K would be fair. Although they're doing well at the mo, Palace aren't that big an attraction. So a bit under that today - I'll go for 22,175.
