Great player in his time at Portman Road and a steal at £750K! How we could do with a defender of his quality right now. He was a tough Defender but also a cultured player who could bring the ball out of defence. Top top CB. I never appreciated his quality until near the end of his town career, I think early on in his career with us his distribution was poor. But I remember some of the last few appearences he made for the club when Royle was here were some of the best CB performances I've ever seen. A shame he left for Burnley that season as we got De Vos in over the summer, I'm sure they would have made a good pairing despite their lack of pace. I'd say he's the best reader of the game I've seen at CB and certainly the best quality CB we've had in the past 15 years!!
