http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/teams/charlton-athletic/fixtures What do we all think then? The next 3 games look daunting, would it be fair to say gaining 3 points from it would be a good return? Further ahead though, April looks horrible for us. 9 games, and 6 to be played on our pitch. Of the 13 remaining games, 9 are in the top 10 and can still push for the play offs. That said, we still have to play Yeovil and Barnsley at home which we have to look at taking 6 points from. The question is, can we see ourselves getting 15-20 points from the remaining games?
Burnley - Draw Nottingham Forest - Draw Derby County - Lose Leeds United - Win Reading - Draw Yeovil Town - Win Brighton and Hove Albion - Draw Barnsley - Win Bolton Wanderers - Draw Sheffield Wednesday - Draw Blackburn Rovers - Win Watford - Win Blackpool - Win
We may be lucky enough not to need more than 15 points, the teams below us are less than a point a game. Jose said he will use the squad because of the number of games we have, and if he manages to do this without weakening the team, and still gets enough points I take my hat off to him. We've got a head coach, an assistant head coach, an assistant manager, a first-team coach, a head of sports science, a football advisor, a first-team doctor, a physio and a head of performance analysis(all listed in the program). Between them they should be able to see who can play how many minutes!
If Riga was offered taking it to the last game at Blackpool, I reckon he would take it. What a fantastic day out that promises to be Having been there before, I would advise any fans who normally wear a syrup, to leave it back at the hotel that day.
One defeat in 13? You'd get some lovely odds for that mate Sure hope you're right. But even then, we'd still only manage around 15th..
We'll get nothing out of Burnley away. Nobody would be happier than me if I'm wrong. I know itsta cliché but we really do need to take it one game at a time.
Ahhhhhhhh... I obviously wiped that one from my memory banks...!! Still don't fancy us to get anything Captain. Ings & Vokes are a formidable partnership.
I'll give my forecasts once the loan window is closed. Pleased with Obika, in the sense that he is at least in the position we needed and we could not reasonably expect to get anyone better, but we still need a RB and LM to reinforce our thin squad for two matches a week. We won't get away with playing the likes of Green, Pritchard and Sordell against better teams. Good result against Bournemouth puts things firmly in our hands, but we could still come unstuck as more and more players take knocks like Harrriot and/or need a rest like Wilson and Cousins.
Wilson never needs a rest. He feeds off the power of our dodgy pitch. As long as the pitch sucks, he'll put in a 90 minute shift towards his glistening (default) player of the year award.
By some ghastly oversight I've arranged to start my hols on that day, so we'd better jolly well be safe by then. Will we finish the season strongly, like we did last season, or will we revert to our customary end-of-season slump? Either way it will be over one way or the other by the last game.
