Religion is Bullsh*t, Get over it, and support science.

I have read the bible, i have read extracts from the qu'ran, bits from the jewish scrolls etc. and they all have one thing in common. Statistics that these books can't back up. With religion abolished, the world could give science the love and support it deserves. If you get a horrible illness, what will cure you, a bearded bloke who doesn't exist, or brilliant medicines created by scientific geniuses. What has advanced the world to it's astonishing level of sophistication, some idiots who believe in fictional characters, or bright people who look at the world around them, and think "I can make this better"

Religion starts wars, science ends them.
Religion causes pain, science cures it.
Religion blocks development, science encourages it.

I could go on for ever if need be.

Religion doesn't start wars, people do.
Religion doesn't cause pain, people do.
Religion doesn't block development, people's attitudes do.

Let's not forget that it was scientists who created nuclear weapons, chemical and biological weapons as well. It is not religion or science that are the problem as the problem lies with human nature. People are corruptable and that applies to religious leaders, scientists, political leaders and many, many more types of people.

It's religious fundamentalists that really piss me off. I have no issues with people who practice religion, providing they don't try and force their beliefs on to me. I just don't like the way religion works, to me it's all fake.

Can I just ask: if you're Muslim, do you practice some of the cultural stuff, and have you ever visited or do you plan on visiting Mecca?

 

I live across the road from a church, and i've actually been tutted at by churchgoers for wearing a Slayer T shirt. Considering the church is protestant, i was rather suprised.
