Here are a few similarities with the 2008-09 season. - The first full season of new owners. - Lots of money spent. - A full team worth of signings - Starting the season with players out of position - The manager not seeming to know his strongest side after pre-season. - A seemingly strong defence but a toothless attack. - A deathly hush around the stadium as supporters don't really expect their side to score. - Lots of effort but little end product. All we need is the Forest game called off at half-time and we could have history repeating itself.

Well the good news about Wednesday is that Bristol City are being spanked again today! They're obviously extremely poor. I must say though, this reminds me of when we went into the match against BC two years ago. We'd just been hammered 5-1 by Forest and were expected a bit of a backlash against the poor West Country boys. We lost 3-1. But we still made the play-offs that season, so no matter the result on Wed, people shouldn't get carried away just yet.
