We cannot avoid it if our performances do not improve. Every season a team who at the new year is in a comfortable position presses the self destruct button. This time I thought it would be WHU , but now I think it could be us. And if a moderator reads this post , can you tell me why I have to LOGIN so often , it is annoying.
Tick remember me next time you log in Don't mention the R word or else you will have Ricc in your face telling you that you are not a true/proper/loyal/uncomplaining ** fan ** delete as appropriate
Relegation is more likely than a Europa League position. But I am keeping faith , just. I always tick the remember me box , but just lately it ignores that request.
We have had a couple of poor results, but I don't see us as anywhere near relegation - but I have seen in my time some very good teams go down. Burnley and Leicester for me are gone, so it's musical chairs for the final spot. Back to Stoke, it was touched on in other threads about injuries and they are really affecting us. Bojan and Peter being injured has and will really impact our season, they are game changers and we need others to produce in their absence, but I'm struggling to see where. I think a few agree with me that the Huth loan deal was strange, for me Shawx is a better player with him and unfortunately he is now out. The new recruits show promise in CD but I'm not 100% confident in them to last week in week out in this league.
Arguably one of the best CB pairings in the PL were - till this season;m Shawcross and Huth. OK - Huth has been injured, since his recovery he has suffered another injury, splinters in his bum from sitting on the bench for too long. Not to worry, he is now at relegation rivals Leicester. Fantastic forethought by our management team Huth out, Bowen out, Coates out, everybody out
I must admit I would have more confidence in the defence if Huth was part of it. Don't think for a moment that we will go down.
Once upon a time we had 6 CB's in the squadd...now we have the stand-in Wilson...until Shawcross & Muni are fit. Whatever happened to that Brazilian guy...supposed to be the next big thing ??
At 6foot plus he is definitely a big thing, but Shawcross will be back soon, they said he would be out gor a couple of weeks and that was just after we played QPR.
If you think we will not be R'd. where will we finish , 17th ? If you think we will finish in top half , you must be thinking along the lines of 4 or 6 points from our next two games. Less than 3 points would tell me we are not in top half at season's end. We will see - KTF Up the Potters Down the Rotters.
