What a load of rubbish ! ... What I saw yesterday, was dreadful .A relegation scrap on the evidence I witnessed at Accrington is very likely....... There were ( many, many ) times when the football was plain crap.. There were several passages of play where it resembled a schoolground free-for-all -- with 4, 5 or more players all going for the same ball - it was utterly pathetic. The same players cannot be allowed to start many matches this season - because, quite frankly, creativity and shots on goal are abysmal...The team can expect to be relegated on the evidence I witnessed................................................. and Gillingham** will probably be the other relegated side ! ** Sorry - did you think I was posting about The Gills..... Surely they're not going to get relegated ? Ainsworth was happy with the effort...... I'd hate to see just how much worse it needs to be for him to be as disappointed with the effort as I was. If yesterday's (( no shot on target )) was satisfactory, then Gills are going to lose many games - and I'm not sure if we can rely on enough own goals to save us.
People moan about ladies football. Much rather watch that the Gillingham most days. Only got a season ticket as gives me something to do on a Saturday. Sometimes I wonder why.
I enjoyed watching the womens football, probably why. Generally no cheating, no time wasting, no diving in the box, no stoppage for constant head injuries. Then as soon as the men come back, amount of time wasted on head injuries was ridiculous, think we will just have to stop them heading the ball.
Unfortunately, I was spoilt back in May - when I went to Spain and watched Barcelona v Real Madrid ...... a match with more drama and overall entertainment than Gills v Hereford (( 5-4 ))........ I am dreading coming to Priestfield for more of Saturday's dross. - and probably a first ( of several ) defeat.
