Hmmm 1976, I broke my knee on the hard ground in the summer of 1976, just 2 weeks before my trials with Portsmouth FC and never really ever properly recovered to allow me to play professionally
Most Saints fans on here don't know what it's like to win the FA Cup and I didn't want to cause any jealousy . Any-way, I did make reference to a footballer born in Portsmouth in the introduction
