Reading 1/1 haha I wouldn't take any of these seriously, we were odds on last season and will be next even if we do well.
Yeah- they are meaningless. We were fourth from bottom even before Lambert went, now third from bottom. I find it extraordinary that a team that finished joint tenth (excluding goals difference) can still be assumed to be a hot favourite for relegation.
i can understand why we've been listed at that price because naturally they see what is going on and think we'll be in trouble but then why aren't swansea priced similarly? and how are west ham so high up the thinking? they only won the bloody play offs! i think saints will be absolutely fine, reading, not so sure
Just seen it. I think it doesn't help that the media are so obsessed with Swansea and that people still think a lot of money will get you places (with regards to QPR and West Ham).
Between 4 and 5 to 1 to go down depending on the bookie and finishing 13th or 14th. Lump on if you think we're that poor.
doubt qpr will make the same mistakes as they did this year - the owners didn't exactly help the cause! i think you'll be ok now, mid-table
i fancy a top ten for queens hype rangers 4-1 is great value bet, especially if there home forms keeps up, 2-3 players needed
I can entirely see the logic behind our low regard with the bookmakers. It gives motivation to the team if they are written off and I fully expect them to make rubbish of these odds. Wet Sham, Villa and Stoke to go down (although in an ideal world Liverpool and Man Ure would be better)
To be honest the odds do not surprise me. If you consider that PL took most of the credit for getting us to where we are and Holt was our 'star' player and we look to be losing both, then to be favourites for bottom three is a sensible call. However. when has football been logical? I think we will be O.K. but we need a manager in place and see what the eventual outcome of ther Holt thing is.
Funny how the markets react quickly- since the announcement that Norwich were in talks with Hughton we've exchanged places with Wigan and are now back to fourth most likely to be relegated! http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/relegation Realistically though, there's very little between us, West Ham, Wigan and Swansea. It will only take a little bit of movement and one of us could shoot up or down.
