5 points off 18th placed Villa. 4 points off 10th placed Stoke. Why do I feel that we are closer to relegation than 10th place?

We have 11 games remaining, Chelsea, Man C, Man U, Spurs, all champions league elect. Mags away, easy 3 points against Everton and thats 6 of the 11 games gone, how many points are there for the taking out of those 6?

5 points above Villa and still have them to play. Classic 6 pointer relegation battle.

We MUST win 2 of the next three games or else we are going to struggle...

Qpr are gone and I think reading as well just leaves 1 more space

Both NE teams will stay up and probably be between 10-15th, depending on how our Europa League campaign goes.

    COnfident of avoiding relegation.
Beginning of the season I thought we would be comfy top ten.
As things stand right now still think we will make top ten but not comfy. :p

Ive just knocked away another tikka masala matey, a bit spiced up and spot on. If we win 2 of the next 3 I think we will just stay up but it will be a close shave.

Tash in positive and sensible post shocker? There is hope for mankind yet! <ok>

Looked a couple of weeks ago and thought then that we had just about the hardest fixtures out of everyone. OK, it was going to be very hard for the likes of QPR, Reading, Wigan and Villa to get above us but I think there's every chance that Mags and Saints can.Since then we have lost both games. can 't see us finishing above 15th.

Never had us down as a top ten finish especially after our woeful start. Reckon we will be okay and still think anything from 15th to 11th maybe is about where we will be at the end.
My only worry now is we don't look like we have the players to fight a relegation shoot out if required hope it doesn't come to that mind.

My gut feeling is that we are now bang in trouble and will be relying on others to lose.

We have lost 4 on the bounce. The last three seasons we have finished very poorly and limped over the line.

Knowing how bad we were at the end of last year I'm starting to think MOzn has got it wrong in the transfer windows. Has Alfie improved us? After the last window we are weaker up front. Somebody please tell me I'm wrong.

Sorry mate, your spot on right. However 3 teams will finish below us this year. Next season needs to show a huge improvemnt in attitude, tactics, performance, results.

most sides go through us like butter in midfield, the full back selections are a joke , every part of the side should have cover of equal ability or close to it.
how have we improved , if mo is set in his cautious style he should have signed a working type of player instead of a light weight like johnson, how often does he beat his man and deliver a telling cross, goes inside nearly every time, his signing did not excite me as oneils appointment did not either.
a premier side who cannot field a proper full back left and right hand side, for most of this season
    is that good management .
hutton and bridge not wanted or could not afford both playing for championship sides who can afford them strange.
no player ready for the step up to the first team within our club if not heaven help us, we hope to get rose who is doing a job for us , what if spurs keep him,if he comes , same again where is the cove
if injured not to mention the other full back slot
For a club like ours to be so devoid of players of quality who do you hold responsible,

With you on this one mate, looks like it's back to worrying about how other teams do rather than looking at our own team does, ****e times again. It could get worse if the barcodes win today or Southampton for that matter.

Unfortunately, I think we are in a cosy relegation battle.

Relegation battle, but we have enough to survive hopefully. Looking at our remaining fixtures, I think we should be able to get to around 40-45 points. I am worried though. The mags bought very well in Jan and are flying now, they'll finish comfortably 5-10 points above us. Suthampton have been playing decent stuff lately and I think they'll overtake us also. Wigan always end the season like title contenders. Fortunately, I think Reading, QPR, and Villa are worse than us. But as mentioned we ALWAYS finish the season poorly so I think it will be close.
