I was going to write something long, witty and intellectual reflecting on tonight's results, but all we really need to know is one small mathematical calculation.

QPR beat Stoke + West Brom beat Bolton = SAFETY.

    As simple as that chaps!

    Well....... not mathematically correct.

City may thump us like Chelsea did

2 big ifs. Our performances have been erratic, Stoke will not be easy to beat.

If we beat Stoke and Bolton lose to West Brom, followed by us getting beat by Man City 6-1 and Bolton winning 4-0 away to Stoke, we'd still be above them!

I'd take those odds going into the last day!

Stoke were very tired yesterday against Everton.
this will be their third game in a week.
wouldnt suprise me if they ' rest' Crouchie as he will not want to score against us
then he comes back and finishes off the rodney Trotters
and maybe WBA will want to give Roy a leaving present with an away win

    hope springs eternal

Explain to me why Bolton are going to lose to West Brom.... a team who have nothing to play for and have just lost their manager....sorry for being a fly in the ointment at this happy time, but just wondering

Stoke is then, finally, a game we can use the phrase 'must win' about accurately.

You absolute **&%$££$&!!!! I was just about to write the same :)

Thats why i've loved this season in a perverse way. I said it some time ago that the beauty of this rocky ride is that because we've been so near the brink we've had loads of excitement including several cup finals - and we've won 50% of them (Spurs, Arsenal, Swansea and Liverpool) that the high of survival will be so much greater. Hopefully we will be able to celebrate together on Saturday.

If we can win by a couple of goals, Bolton lose by a couple and Blackburn fail to win we can safely enjoy a survival party!! Come on you rrr's

    6-1 down, who gives a ****, we're QPR and we're staying up!!

i'll admit i didn't quite believe myself when i joined in with that on sunday, but after looking at the table when i got back, i thought, still very achievable, now i am almost sure we will do it!!

Yes, Stoke is certainly the key game for us - we must have the win and 3 pts, and want WBA to win it for Woy against Bolton. Hopefully Stoke will also do us a favour and turn Bolton over in their final game.

If Newcastle continue with their Chelsea form (as opposed to the Wigan game) in their Man City game at home, City could be left with nothing to play for in their final game. Too bad we didn't sign their Cissé!

We may just stay up (if we beat Stoke) due to the failings of others.

A new man will be coming in, this game has gone from a pointless game to one that may have a huge effect as they are now playing for their careers.

Hopefully they'll want to win for Woy too. He's not leaving till after the last game. WBA are pretty good away too. Christ I'm trying here!!!!!

Theyre one of the best away teams in the division, certainly they are better away from home than at home while Stoke are the other way round. poor on the road but very good at home

Indeed Stan. That phrase has been bandied about all season yet this is the first real "must win".

Although, on second thoughts, its not even a must win!
