Just to back up my argument on the other thread Lancs, I think you will find I said that Norwich would finish above us last season even before it had started and I said they would stay up this season!!!

You boys might just scrape enough points to avoid Derby's record points total but the way you are being found out at the moment I'm not so sure! How many did the best English striker score yesterday..... <whistle>

Getting ready to hear what we've been listening too for the past two seasons which is we wont cut it next year.

Well one year you will be correct, because thats the law of averages.

May I predict that your poor shower of ****e will have another **** season.

    I thank you.

Serious question to you Binners - Do you honestly believe what you're saying when you predict all these bad things that will happen to us?

If you do, when will you ever learn?!?!

    Serious answer Carra.

We've seen so many times sides overachieve in their first Prem season. It's a mix of momentum from the good form in the Championship and extra fight, bile and excitement at the big games. We've also seen time and again that those sides falter in the second half of the season and either come straight back down or just have enough points already on the board to survive season one and succumb in season two.

You don't have to be Mark Lawrenson to figure out where Norwich will finish next season.

Or, of course, we could spend some of our new-found money, strengthen, and surprise a few people yet again.

Is that preferable to being ITFC and doing what everyone expects by finishing 15th in Division Two? You decide. <ok>

I know us Town fans make this comment a lot but I genuinely don't think Lambert will be there next season and without him you will be a far weaker team

Look, there are some decent fans on here with constructive comments, but neither you, me, nor Yorkie, has a crystall ball, and can predict what will happen. My opinion is that Lambert is not likely to leave just yet, despite what you may wish.

Your season is over, as, pretty much, is ours (although I'll be in the stands at the Emirates, pretty cool huh?), good luck for the next one.

The last time we were at the Emirates it was for a relatively meaningful game <ok>

it's not about crystal balls, we all know Man United will be in the top four next season and we know that barring a miracle, Norwich will be relegated <ok>

Well, no, any game against Arsenal in the top flight is meaningful. It's what we strive for, it's been so long, you've probably forgotten.

The issue of Norwich being relegated is ridiculous. Because it's what you would like, doesn't make it inevitable. Fact is, we don't know what the team will be (even you!) Get over your petty gripes, and think straight.

But Hampy, since our arrival back into the Championship, you've either said, Ipswich will finish above us or when we got promoted, we would easily get relegated. I would say, there is more chance of us staying up next season, than there is of you finishing within five points of the play-offs.<laugh>

Without some changes i would agree there is zero chance of us finishing in the top ten and about a 30% chance you'll stay up <ok>

30% is a bit generous hampy, more like 10%! now the momentum has stopped (and i'm sure most budgies would agree they can contribute at least 50% of their points tally to that) its going to be a long hard season for you boys. I believe the premier league will be a lot stronger next year with reading and southampton plus I reckon Wet Sham. So unless you make major investment i believe you will do a wolves. Watching Lambchop on saturday night, he looked like am manager who was realising that now he really has to earn his money or he could take the next step to an underachieving big club before his reputation gets damaged!

amazing to read some of the bonkers statements made by ipswich fans on here about how norwich will definitely be relegated next season. quite extraordinary. is this based on our win at white hart lane earlier this month? possibly not. are you suggesting swansea will go down too seeing as they have 'hit the wall' like city have? all i know is that it appears likely that norwich will have finished in a higher league position in the premier league than ipswich will have in the 2nd tier - now that is embarrassing for you, especially as we've done it without spending a large percentage of our tv income. we've spent about £10m this season - thats around four grant leadbitter's if you're wondering. oh, and it gets doubled again as we've stayed up... and it gets effectively doubled again on top of those two years through four years of parachute payments should we go down... god, we really are a mess! <laugh>

Thank you for my new sig quote! Every year we've had monumental improvement at Norwich under Lambert, and I expect that trend to continue.

I think the league will be weaker next year too, as I think Wolves, and whoever the other two who go down are better than Reading/Southampton etc but that means a tougher league for you!
