Released Players

With the end of the season, comes the summer clear-out not just for us but for every-one. If you hear any good names who have been released let us know TA!

 

Well I bet I know one that will defiantly be on there.

 

Anyone got details on contracts, who's in, who's out etc

I can never remember from one season to the next!

 

I believe that Josh Gowling, Garry Richards, Alan Julian, Lance Cronin, Barry Fuller, Tony Sinclair, John Nutter, Jack Payne, Luke Rooney, Andy Barcham, Curtis Weston, Andy White, Bayo Akinfenwa, Danny Jackman, Mark McCammon, Chris Palmer and Mark Bentley are all out of contract.
This is big problems for us.

 

Just guessing from my own knowledge about all these.

 

Well I hope they don't extend the contract of Cronin and Sinclair.

 

I still believe that Jack Payne only has a contract till the end of this season.

Keep Jack Payne out of those, not worried about the others.

I hope Barcham signs a new deal.

 

Alan Julian, Andy Barcham, Adebayo Akinfenwa, Kevin Maher, Josh Gowling, John Nutter, Matt Lawrence, Mark Bentley, Chris Palmer, Tony Sinclair (has the option of a 1 year extension), Joe Martin (Non Contract), Mark McCammon, Lance Cronin (has the option of a 1 year extension), Andy White, Connor Essam and Dean Rance.


I have been doing my research now and this I believe to be the list of out of contract players.

 

If it was up to me I would keep Matt Lawrence, Kevin Maher (Maybe), Andy Barcham, Chris Palmer, Adebayo Akinfenwa and maybe and this is only a small maybe to keeping Julian.

 

Yeah I do believe Weston is out of contract, The list I put above is a full true list of out of contract players, But I also think Weston is out.

Not my understanding. If he's signed until 2011/12 that surely means the contract runs out in 2012.

The article mentions a two year extension, so I guess that he had a year left on his contract when that article was published in 2009.

 

Couldn't see Weston's name on that list.

 

Interesting, but I suggest not to be taken as gospel. There are a number of errors that I have found, and quite where they get their valuations from is a complete mystery. If Gills could get £176k for Mark McCammon and buy Cody for £220k I reckon all would consider that good business.

Well looking at that, we can tell Norwich to keep the £150k, sell McCammon, then we are sorted for Cody

 

Theres a huge manner of players that have been out of contract over the last year.

One, who everyone I asked seem to want to come back to us, was Fabian Brandy, although he has since gone to Notts County (he had been free long enough to snap him up though)...
