After a transfer window closes it gives us all time to reflect.

Personally I had a feeling from the start that MON would not be splashing out on panic buys.
Don't be surprised to see a much higher turnover in the summer though.
And he most certainly wouldn't be buying another overpriced striker for the future!!!!

MON knows where we are lacking and was clearly looking for temporary fillers for those positions.
I know some don't rate his incomers, but I do, as they are both good professionals who fit the positions they will be required to fill.
Someone on another thread said something about MON building teams like jigsaws.
I couldn't agree more, he has brought in two players that slot straight in and are more than capable players.
Bruce would have splashed cash and then took a fret saw to the incomers.

My only disappointment is Davies knocking us back, to be honest I'm surprised he didn't fancy a challenge at his age. MON and myself were thinking along the same lines, we already have young strikers with potential who clearly need guidance on the pitch. Davies could have taught them a lot, as well as still being a handful in his own right.

We now have a LB (Hurrah!) not only that but an English international LB.
I have seen Bridge play brilliantly more times than I have seen him play badly, some of the unwashed talk about him playing so badly its as if he took WH down single handedly.
He was struggling in a struggling team, yet I never saw him give anything but 100%.
Lets give the lad a chance and let his football do the talking.

Kyrgiakos, is also astute cover, from what I remember of the lad he could head the ball further than some players can kick it. A pretty good defender, never the fastest but more than capable of reading the game to counteract his lack of pace. Turner lacks pace but can head the ball, sadly imho he doesn't read the game very well and ends up stranded out of position.

The striker situation will become clearer in the summer, MON will have had more time to access what we have (including Gyan?) and who could come in and do a job!
Someone he actually wants and not a panic buy for the sake of it.

So what can I moan about?
Just a pity Kyrgiakos couldn't play tonight as I think he could handle the balls Norwich will be hoying in the box tonight.
My money is on Bridge starting to stop one supply line, a job Ricco is clearly incapable of doing.
I think Ming will get his chance to impress me tonight, as up to now I have been underwhelmed by him.
Not going to be an easy game but I think we have enough to handle Norwich.

    2 - 0 to the lads.
