Out of curiosity I have been measuring how much 5 of the boards on here have been used recently. Obviously chose us, Chelsea and Arsenal as our nearest competitors and for northern contrast Pool and Utd In the last 2 weeks we have posted 3,381 Posts and 25 new threads (133 posts per thread) Arsenal meanwhile have 2,318 posts in 38 new threads (61 ppt) Liverpool is much the busier forum (of the 5) 5,755 posts in 68 new threads (85 ppt) The surprising ones are Chelsea with 765 posts in 32 new threads (24 ppt) And Utd with 1,278 posts in 34 new threads (38 ppt) So we lead the way in Posts per thread and our board is much busier than Arsenal and, especially, Chelsea. I guess this is down to some great posters and great mods. Well done everyone. Newcastle and Liverpool have more posters, but no one has as many posts to a thread, therefore we are less likely to piss each other off and derail threads (although it does happen) and have a good level of traffic to keep it interesting.
I think you have given us an extra digit SD. Assume you meant 3381. So basically, we ramble on in threads regularly going off on tangents and losing the original thread discussion completely? Sounds about right
The Arsenal board on ja606 seems a lot more active (mostly ****), not sure if its the same for other teams
The Chelsea board has reverted back to being the wasteland that it used to be prior to their mods' recent spate of bannings. They don't seem to be able to get their heads around the fact that banter and controversy make for lively debate, The Gooners, by contrast, seem to have finally learnt that banning huge numbers of people, including numerous of their own supporters, really isn't such a great idea, and their board appears to have benefited as a result. The 'Pool board seems to trundle along under the steam of its own delusion. Sure, they seem to ban a lot of posters, but there are so many Mousers that that doesn't seem to matter. Still, the Mouser's inability to take proper criticism does mean that board has an other-wordly, Alice In Wonderland feel to it, where reality takes a back-seat. I love to dip into it every now and then for a really good laugh.
I think that settles it well and true. I can say verily that Spurs are the greatest team to grace this wondrous earth.
Slightly off topic but Jake Humphrey made me laugh on BT sport last weekend as a norwich fan when he said: "of course i will try to remain as impartial as possible as the greatest team in the history of the earth take on Villa"
So quantity equals quality? Maybe this is the theory that the Spurs' board based their transfer dealings on this Summer...
