Massimo Cellino is a firm fan of the playmaker, who he helped take to Cagliari earlier this year, and has been on his tail all summer. Adryan has been unsure about heading to Elland Road, but the attacking midfielder, who was handed the number 10 shirt by Cagliari earlier this summer, appears to have been won over. According to reports from Italy, Adryan is expected to travel to England later today to undergo a medical with Leeds ahead of a potential switch to Elland Road. Capturing Adryan, who joined Cagliari from Flamengo on loan with a purchase option, would be a big coup for the Yorkshire giants. The Brazilian has long been tipped for the top and was wanted by Manchester United in 2012. Adryan though rejected the Red Devils, commenting at the time: "Manchester United spoke to me and showed a lot of interest. But I had no intention of going anywhere at the moment." The Brazil Under-20 international could manage just five appearances in Serie A for Cagliari last term, before injury ended his season. Come on lad, join the Mighty Whites, we love you already!!
Everyone compares the boy to Zico, which is brilliant as we've not had a player like that for years. Why would he want to spend his career on the bench over the pennines. He will know what happened to his compatriots who never made the WC and one was flogged anyway
Think he could just be the missing link. We have a decent GK & a decent back 4. Our midfield is overflowing with talent that just requires the Hock to fit all the pieces together, although we are currently a bit lacking in the AM/creative midfield role. With Billy Sharp, we now have a decent enough forward line. As I say, this guy could just be the missing link.
