When you see other team make 20 times better use of possession, teams and players on far less pay than our lot.

Is BR stayed put and Kenny Stayed put, who'd you think would be higher up the league table currently. BR n Swans or Kenny and Liverpool? The Drup has Swans in Europe already, we're still waiting to see

There is no doubt about that answer being Kenny

They say love is blind <laugh>

I don't understand why we have to fall so low in order to become good again.

May I add, I've been behind BR this season up until a point where I see no progress and in fact a reversal, people are deluded enough to think this is some dawn of a new era, I may have believed that if IF BR had been somewhere and had something. Not just improved a championship team.

It's been a ways since we lay down for every side above us. Yeah, we had above average performances v City and Arsenal but that's all they were. Above average, the average of this season, yet still nothing like great performances. Easy to raise the bar when it's been on the floor to start with

I above all would like to be proved wrong and that we are not going to be in the exact same position this time next year. So here's to hoping because after what i've seen this season hope is about the most tangible thing I can grab on to. There's nothing else but talk of some of our best players going, Suarez Reina and when will someone like Barca or real come knocking for Lucas? Will we accept the offer, of course we will just as a nice bid some summer for Suarez will be accepted by FSG, Suarez will go and we'll have Borini to replace him.

As this continues we'll also be Gerrardless (our best midfielder) as well as Carra retiring, who imo is still our best defender at 103 years of age. No Reina and Suarez possibly too, the future is bright. It's only football and my opinion so please don't go flying over the top after reading this<laugh> I have a few little things going on outside of football like family and a life so I find it funny when people read far far FAR too much into what I post.

People using Reina's words to show BR is on the rght track are kidding themselves. There is nothing in those words but the usual soundbites players make, aside from the part about becoming great if they follow the BR philosophy, there is nothing but ambiguous cliches. We had the same last season with players coming out about Kenny etc.. its all just PR.

Not a case of differing opinions mate, the only problem here is your lack of a sense of humour. You will see I joke around quite a bit, at the end of the day my world still goes round and I don't get that upset from football.

Maybe just maybe (as I've said before) if the latest anti <insert managers name here> individuals didn't always tack on "your delusional/moronic/an idiot if you can't see what I'm seeing" at the end of their repeatedly negative posts they wouldn't get the responses they seem to be offended by.

If they also didn't use every thread with wide & differing subject matter to twist it to "BR is **** (and your delusional if you think otherwise)" I might actually listen to the specific criticism buried among the generic doom & gloom.

Its funny, I don't see pro BR individuals in every thread saying "he's the best thing in the world and will make us league winners and if you can't see that you're delusional" no matter what we are discussing.....

On subject at hand. Yes players will generally agree with managers of the day but we've also had a few come out & say they are unhappy with how they are being treated or how things were reported so it seems to me that there isn't an "iron fist"/tow the party line doctrine here (I think there bloody should be myself) so if we accept players whines & moans at face value why can't we accept their proclamations of happiness?

Too right Frank. I think BR has us playing some good football. I also don't think we are good enough. I also can't stand here and say Rodgers will get us back to the top to our glory days, in fact I personally think he or FSG won't/can't. Not soon anyway.

But I can stand here and joke about it, credit the team when they play well and not let any bitterness of Kenny/Rafa/Torres/Alonso departures get in the way of it.

Like I said, if things turn to **** in a football sense I know I can come on here and joke about it. <cheers>

    for the record.

    1. reina might or might not leave but he will only leave for one of two sides in spain so why worry?

    2. i for one had zero pride in lfc after beating swansea... we played their RESERVES... i felt relief at most... reality check needed after zenit came to play containing and swansea had both eyes on wembley we can't keep brushing the disasters away with one result cos the table still doesn't lie.. <ok> moaning is merely not accepting 8th place cos we won last week.

    3. I respect all opinions so I don't know why guys want to be rude to each other, MFG, BBF, all have a right to thier opinions! those wanting to be more optimistic should also be respected just cos you don't agree either. after all you were taught manners as a kid and a keyobard doesn't excuse losing them.

I think the Barcelona match last night showed that any "system" is bullshit & ineffectual if the players on the night are under performing

Looks like Barca under Pep & now ?? Don't have a "plan b" either. Well if the "best team in the world" don't have one I'll not expect us to have one just yet.

Personally I like our style of football but regardless of style the very basics (putting all bullshit aside) are having players good enough, consistently enough to win games. And ideally another 11 players just as good to replace them if they drop in performance individually/collectively. Now that is a state of perfection not even the best teams achieve 100% but they get close or have a manager that gets their first 11 to play at their very best of ability more than they reasonably should in a season.

We are obviously no where near that first part squad wise & the manager hasn't managed the second bit yet.

Time will tell if the owners & manager can bring in more players for the first bit & if BR can do the second part with his assembled squad.

What did I say about reading to much into what I post.

The tone thing gets lost and we can indeed take it totally based on how we the reader are feeling at that moment.

I don't make assumptions on your part, yet you are kind enough to do it for me, you shouldn't assume as it makes an ass out of u and me<laugh>

I dared to agree with MFG and get slated for it. He's one of our most knowledgeable members and he gets mocked almost every time he posts, I am finding it the same although I am not a knowledgeable member:)

Still, at least we've no Christian Smith at least, unless I am our christian smith <laugh>
