Bobby De Cordova-Reid coming your way. Disappointed on two counts. One that he's leaving us, second that he's joining you. You're splashing the cash again, though sess going will help balance the books. If you dont go up this year FFP might bite you on the bum.
Hmmm, interesting. Papers seem to think so, but until you see the man with the shirt...…. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/cardiff-city-sell-bobby-reid-16723996
Loan deal. I feel even worse about it now. https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/bobby-de-cordova-reid-joins-fulham
Sorry about that, we haven't spent much, the only player not loaned was given in part exchange and all have Championship pedigree and better. Not like us at all.
Apparently, Reid had a falling out with Warnock. I'd have been happier with a sale rather than a loan. Hey ho. I know you mightn't have paid a lot in fees, but there will be some big salaries in those loans. 45 games to go in the maddest league in the world where anyone can beat anyone else. To be fair, you and Leeds seem to shaped your squads nicely. Ours still feels a bit unbalanced, and light in centre mid. But, nobody expected us to go up last time.
There are high expectations which is not always a good thing, I just hope we can do ourselves justice after last season. I believe it is Colin's last season, I expect him to have his troops well drilled and over achieve in normal fashion. Good luck with the season ahead, we will all need some of that.
Bobby Reid is a great signing in the Championship and makes me feel much less nervous about our striking options (which is really only Mitrovic!). Does this indicate Rui Fonte is leaving? Another loan to buy, which I'm not sure should be allowed within the division. But anyway, I'm very happy about this signing.
So much for Tony Khan saying in an interview 'we won't be going down the loan route again'. I'm guessing the Sessegnon cash will be going to off-balance the loss of revenue for FFP with the closure of the Riverside. Cardiff got 2 players I had on my wish list for Fulham. Aden Flint & Will Vaulks, so I'll be interested in how they get on.
Not sure about Flint. Dont think hes better than what we had already. As for Vaulks, he's not up to Arters standards. Cheaper though. Fickle as hell us fans. We all want what someone else has who in turn want something else. Going to take a while for both of us to integrate our new signings into our squads.
An interesting set of comments in the attached. I know it goes on, but disappointing if his exit was manipulated by external influences. Cant imagine his 'heart was set on fulham' unless an approach had been made. Water under the bridge now. Another game tomorrow. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cardiff-city-boss-neil-warnock-16726717
Not sure if it had anything to do with it, but Joe Bryan put up pics of him and Reid when they were small kids playing in the same school ? or Bristol kids academy team.
I see Reid was having a bad hair day must have washed it. I'm only jealous really, mine disappeared using wash and go
