No not for the music thread but I suspect a video will soon appear somewhere

I was thinking with respect to my Article entitled The Future is Golden - why could I not have waited a day or so - the Julian Winter news was so unexpected and is so devastating that I can hardly think of anything worse that could have happened barring GT himself quitting.

I thought that factoring in player moves, youngsters etc - even the possible departure of MM would have covered all bases and still left some optimism for the future to counter our "weekus horribilis" But the Winter news was a bombshell right out of the blue.

I have not been one to sit on the fence and have expressed my dislike and distrust of Baz from the off - but felt there was little more bad he could do than had alreeady been factored in - how wrong was I?

Any of you ever done something - on a PC perhaps pressed the "send" button and then wanted to scream - "no - come back" :)

Yep, not pulling the gun from my pocket and shooting Hugo Chavez Frias when I had the chance. Would have been a game changer.

Such is the state of the club, that I wouldn't be opposed to GT quitting.

Sure, it would put us into even more of a mess than we're already in, but you can bet your bottom dollar that he would not go quietly.

If it were found that one or more of the "unsackable" individuals were constructively dismissed, Bassini's ownership of the club would become null and void.

That is my best hope at the moment.

You talking about Winter who was going anyway according to some elsewhere?

Don't think GT can be "sacked" as such but he has been pretty quiet through all of this.

I'm not talking about anyone in particular. And I was among those who predicted that Winter would go, I just didn't think it would be quite so dramatic, and felt that he would more likely than not serve his notice.

Is there a possibility that he did serve his notice and we just didn't find out about it? (clutching at straws, i know)

Dont think so Hornette ,news would have got out! Sounds to me like there was a clash of principles and JW thought his position untenable:(

But the news did get out 3 months ago - it's just that either no one bothered reading it or just didn't understand the implications.

Personally, I can't see why there would have to be one - people have the right to privacy. If I had decided in March that I wanted to quit my job in June, that would have been my business - not the world's unless I wanted it to be. Given the possible ramifications of his leaving, it would have been the right thing to do to advise Bazz of his intentions.

Besides, what sort of affect would such an announcement have had on fans and team if it had been made in March?

Would have stopped the outcry of the last couple of days something along the lines of I feel I have taken this job as far as I can I`ll be off in few weeks after a handover period with my successor ! would have been nice and understandable!

OK back on topic.....Generally the regrets I have had are from not doing something, rather than doing it.....exception to this is emails sent in haste or anger - but I now try to "count to 100" and delay hitting the send button
