Register on the echo

Sunderland.
Has anyone registered with the Sunderland Echo.
They say it's free but does anyone know if there are hidden things such as after 1 month you have to pay or something like that.

I've used my monthly allowance of 15 or so reads and now cannot access articles but I don't want to register and find out I've signed up for something I didn't want.
If it's just to carry on reading some articles why do they want me to register with them anyway.

Any of you registered?

That's where they want me to register.

I read it on my iPad and now, after about 15 reads this month they have a banner up saying register for free.
I can't access the articles now such as match reports or injury updates.
I just wondered if there is a catch anywhere or if anyone out there has registered.

I don't want to register and find out next month that I've signed up for a years subscription and that they want a fee.

I guess if they're not asking for any bank details then you're ok, they probably want people to register because it earns them a tiny bit of income (not from you directly) to keep them going.
